You could hear your neighbors and their great vibrating music. Cabinets are cheap . Its not solid, Its wrapped with pealing stickers, so they can replace it easily when they peal off. they dont have to change the cabinet. We had child proof on em and when we move out we removed them. It pealed off the contact paper a little and they charged $350 saying they have to replace the cabinet. I am sure they would have replaced those contact papers for couple of dollars . these people plays a nice drama too. Be aware.

Here is an email I wrote to the property owners, but no one has responded. I am posting this on here in hopes action will be taken since no on from the office or company has addressed my ongoing issues. It seems as if you write a google review, someone responds. I am hoping this message reaches someone who can take action regarding my ongoing concerns with one of your properties. I am a current resident at The Addison South Tryon Apartments in Charlotte, NC. In my short time here, I have experienced issues, even from the beginning. One of the many issues is the continuous noise violations from my building. I have submitted several complaints and spoke to the office staff, but every weekend I have to listen to loud music until the early hours of the morning. I'm not sure what standards Carter-Hanson has for its communities, but Im sure this one is not living up to your company's expectations. If I wanted to hear loud music all times of night, walk over trash and clothes in the breeze ways, and see police in the neighborhood due to a recent string of car breaks-in, I would not expect to be living in "luxury apartments." I would like for someone to connect with me and explain what actions will be taken regarding my concerns. Thank you P.S. As I am typing this message, I am unable to hear my own television due to the loud music from another unit.

First off I would like to thank ownership for this establishment. I have stayed in the Addison for 2 years now and I have absolutely loved it. Management is very sharp when it comes to handling business. Big props to Beverley. She is the main person I go to for any issues. I just want you to know that you are doing a wonderful Job. Maintenance is also outstanding. Every time I have guess come over they are blown away over this Luxury estate. I refer this complex to all my friends that are searching for a home in Charlotte.

I have lived here for a year now and my lease is about to end and I will not be renewing. First of all the parking here sucks! My husband and I have parking permits but sometimes it is very difficult to find any parking in the gated community. So sometimes we have to park outside. It is not safe to park outside. There is a lot of vandalism. We've had to call the police 3 times this year because one of our cars got stolen, another time we called the police because someone broke my husbands car window. Even if you park inside the gated community it is not safe. My car got broken into while it was parked inside as well. In this year of living here we have filed 3 police reports. Our guest have stopped coming to visit us because they are too scared to park outside. These apartments really need to invest in having surveillance cameras because of a lot of the vandalism that happens here. The staff is not as friendly either, they always seem to have an attitude. The staff lacks greatly in customer service. The maintenance is great though. The apartments are beautiful, but for the price we pay I do not think it is worth it due to the issues of not enough parking spots and all the vandalism. I would like to sleep in peace knowing my car won't get broken into.

Overall, good experience so far after about 2 years. Kabree (sorry if misspelled!) was great about resolving a prior issue related to parking passes. Kudos to her for listening, understanding the situation, and taking the appropriate action. Maintenance staff is top-notch -- Cornelius, Roger, and Ron?, are simply outstanding guys who also happen to know how to fix stuff very well and keep the grounds looking nice. Management and front office staff was less than adequate about a year ago, but a fresh group has come in and turned things around nicely. Facilities are nice, great pool, plenty of community activity there, and apartments themselves are well built with a modern feel. Currently working through an issue related to their overly aggressive towing company (Jac's Towing), but management seemed receptive and I hope to see positive results. Depending on outcome, rating will either go to 1 star or 5 stars. Will update.

I've enjoyed living here. They usually have neighborhood events. The maintenance staff and office staff have been friendly and accommodating to me and my family. The grounds are well maintained. I feel safe within the gates. The neighbors are pretty friendly or keep to themselves. My only complaint is the airplane noise at times and you can hear your neighbors through the walls/ceiling if they are too loud. Also, not a lot of guest parking unless you live close to the side road. No place is perfect, but this has been pretty good. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews.

I have never lived anywhere, where I had to put in a 60 day notice even though my lease is ending!! Now I am being charged $700 dollars because I did not get my 60 day notice in time. I should not be responsible to give a notice as well as be charged for when my lease is up. Absolutley ridiculious!!

Lived here for 12 months and went from a rough start to a happy ending. When I first moved in I was in a studio which looked very nice ascetically. Once moved in I was unable to sleep due to the loud noise from the apartment above, beside, and across the hall. These apartments to appear to have very thin walls compared to most other apartments. They also must not have any insulation in the ceilings/floors because I could hear everything the person above me was doing. Every time they moved, opened a drawer, washed dished, and played music. After about 3 months of calling the office I was able to reach the regional manager who was kind enough to work with me on moving to a top level 1 BR unit. After moving into the 1BR my stay was much much better! I could still hear my neighbor watching TV every now and then but other than that it was great. The area is not the best but if you are looking for a nice budget friendly option then these will suffice for a short time.

The only thing nice about these apartments are the apartment buildings, but the bucks stop there. Every time new management comes in they are even worse than the last. I've lived here since 2014 when they originally opened up and its been a nightmare ever since. I'm not sure where they found Beverly Hampton (property manager) but she is extremely rude and unprofessional. She takes at least 2 weeks to respond to emails and doesn't have the slightest idea on how to run a business. The parking is a zoo! Sometimes I would have to park outside the gate because there would be no where to park (which defeats the purpose of moving to a gated community). So imagine having a 3 month old carrying a car seat for 20 mins at night because there's no where for you to park smh. Also, if a light bulb goes out guess who pays for it... you. And for some reason they go out every 2 months. The grills are DISGUSTING. They never clean them and they look rusted and are starting to fall apart. The neighbors are loud and obnoxious and blast rap 3-4am in the morning. If you want a peace of mind, I would not recommend you move here. Everything that glitters is definitely not gold.

Too bad I have to pick a star! This place deserves NONE! Please, Please,Please DO NOT move here! Do not let the outside of the building and office fool you. The word "LUXURY" IS A TRAMP! Nothing here is luxury. The complex has a horrible design, besides cheap! You can hear a fly passing by! Which means: you will NEVER have quiet time nor peaceful nights! Believe everything you are going to read about the "thin walls" on the reviews! and that is nothing! Wait until you see the class of people living here! It has the air of a super low income college campus or prison! The pool looks decent but can never go in it on weekends or any afternoon! Tenants bring a thousand friends to party all weekend like it is a "party rental place"! They play loud music, they smoke, they get drunk, jump in the pool at 3 AM in the morning: NAKED! You can see alcohol cans/bottles, kids run wild w/o supervision until really late at night - loud too! Cars play loud ghetto music, speeding through parking lots at evenings/nights; Big group of party-goers-college-students come in/out very loud on hallways waking up others, and the list is big... This is not a civilized place to live. This is why I give the comparison to a prison or a low-income-drunk-college-campus-dorm. People here act disgusting! So, the word 'LUXURY" it is actually its antonym! which is: POVERTY/AUSTERITY/NECESSITY! Good example: Just LOOK at the MULCH and plants/trees around the buildings! The pine needles disappeared! EVEN THE CHEAPEST APARTMENT buildings in the area keep the green areas nice! It is so bad that the foundations are showing! and the administration does not care! This means that if they DO NOT care about their investment; they DO NOT care about US; Their customers who give them their paycheck. I can not imagine this place is a couple of years!

My boyfriend has lived here for a while, he attends school at the AI. I absolutely loved the apartment when he first gave me a tour. Now I cannot wait for him to move out. The staff here are very unpleasant, I can tell all they care about are selling the apartments. I hate this place the parking situation is all fucked up. I seen someone getting their car towed. Students can be really loud at night, I can hear them through the walls. I can tell someone in his building is selling or just constantly letting people smoke weed in their apartment (the smells are very strong) I just feel like he's paying too much for this apartment that only "looks" nice.

I moved into this apartment complex with my fiance 3 months ago and I was sold by the many amenities and more upgraded modern features of the complex, and it was wonderful and to add this was my first apartment I've ever rented. We leased the liberty floorplan which is 2 bed 2 bath. It was close to my job and I could afford it. What I didn't know was that the walls are so thin that I could literally hear my neighbor next door getting beat by her boyfriend. We also live on the first floor so I can hear a lot of hoopla going on outside and upstairs. My maintenance guy takes about a week to get back to me whenever something stops working. There is literally a gang fight every day outside. Don't get me started on weekends.... The college students party until as late as 5am or until 30 police cars surround the building to shut it down. Not to mention every time I try to reach the community director Naketra Ross she is always busy or not available, and when she is available she's always rude and nasty to everyone in the community. I will not be renewing after my 6 months. I wouldn't recommended this complex to anyone.

When I first went to look at the Addison, I was very impressed. The amenities were very nice, the staff was very pleasant. This was a great apartment, that is until other people started moving in. The great staff are the only reason I was ok with giving it 1 star. The more people that move in, the worst this place gets. Let me start with the paper-thin walls, as other have described. I hear everything. People walking down the hall, people talking in their kitchens across the hall. The people above me, their footsteps are so loud and they move around so often, youd think a sweatshop was being ran up there. My next door neighbor and his girlfriend are constantly arguing and I hear every last word and detail. My neighbor below me is constantly playing his music throughout the night, to the point, you wake up the next day with it still playing and booming the walls sometimes. On the weekends, this places turns into a full fledged dorm. It gets very loud, people screaming outside, people even fighting in the hallways and parking lots. I have had to go outside and speak with people on a few occasions about noise. The parking situation is a joke at best. At first, anyone could park anywhere, which allowed guest and people not on the lease to park in the gated lot too. Making it hard for the real residents to find a space. Now, they have parking passes and guest spots. But, they decided for whatever reason that 13, yes 13, guest spots would be enough for the entire complex. And guess who takes up those 13 spots every single day? People that are not on the lease that live there! The people who are not supposed to park there. They make all of the real guest park outside of the gates now. Which forces you to physically go walk to the gate and manually let them in, no matter where you live in the complex. This is a bigger issue for others, as some live all the way across the complex. With the amount of ghetto-ness that goes on, I dont want my guest to have to deal with all of that. Not to mention, what if I broke my leg and needed some assistance? How would I let me guest in and up? Now, lets talk about the side street. This same side street that people stop and smoke weed on. I sit on my balcony and not a day goes by that I dont see at least one person do this. I even have a police officer that lives in my building and its still an issue. Then, we pay $22 a month for valet trash. Which sounded fancy at first. Now, I wish they didnt do this. They told us we are supposed to put our bins outside of our doors at a certain time on certain days a week, but most people just leave their bin outside of their door every day, all day. Making it look very trashy and the smell is bad on some days. I dont pay over $1000 a month to walk down a hallway full of trash cans every day. I would rather them get the parking/gates in order and Ill take my own trash. Speaking of trash, there are so many people that throw their cigarette butts all over the grounds and no one is cleaning them up. All the rent office does is send out threatening notes saying they will fine people for doing so, but it stops nothing. Same thing goes for dog waste. There is dog feces everywhere, to the point I am scared to step foot in the grass anywhere. The guest policy is kind of dumb too, you are only allowed to have 2 guest at the amenities. So, my best friend that has 3 daughters can never come over to swim. Not a major deal, but a complaint none the less. Even if I wanted my Mom, Aunt and Cousin to come cookout at the pool, thats over the 2 guest limit. I think 3 or 4 would have been a better cap. Overall, if you are looking for a nice, quiet, upscale complex, then keep looking. The amount of money I pay for this place, I expected something else. Just counting my days down until I can leave this place.

This place is the most expensive ghetto you will find! The apartments are great, front office is pretty good but the people who live here, for the most part, are disgusting, disrespectful and not what you would expect when you're paying the type of rent we are. People park in handicap parking, when my parents who are handicapped came to visit, they were told by a resident who wasnt handicapped and parking in the spot, to go **** themselves. What a beautiful way to greet your guests let alone your family. She drives a grey MB if anyone cares to know. Another instance we were woken up at 3 am cause people were fighting outside and when I looked out the window I see some a$$ hole pissing on my $25k truck. People smoke cigs and dispose butts in hallways, grass out front and make the area look disgusting. The landscaping is pathetic, instead of doing something nice and finishing the grass by our balcony view, its just yellow dead grass and weeds growing. They use pine needles instead of mulch to dress the area around the property and have planted some small half dying bushes. There is no on site security, at least present. We were told there is a security officer but I have never seen them in the 8 months we have been here, so people hop the fence surrounding the neighborhood and peek into cars to see whats valuable to steal, until i went out and yelled at them. They have a security gate but it moves slower than a person with 2 broken legs so everyone who wants to enter can just follow residents in. We really had high hopes for this place, the apartment layouts are really nice, the pool and amenities are great and some of the people up at the front office are great people, but apparently they just let anyone live here which really makes this place an unhappy place to live. I hate moving and Ive never looked forward to moving in my life. Live here if you dont care about the things Ive mentioned and if you think this is one person view, I urge you to ask some other residents who live here to get their view. The nicer people who I speak with all say the same things Ive mentioned. This property has lots of potential, with A LOT more care from the property and the people who they allow live here it would be a great place for people wanting to live close to the city but far enough away to avoid traffic headaches. I would not suggest living here.
