Im only sharing my experience I cant speak for anyone else. I moved in this apartment October 2017 upon entering the office and telling them the unit I was suppose to be moving into they had no record that I was supposed to move in that day, which they admitted was some glitch in their system (completely understandable, things happen). They hand me the keys to the apartment and as soon as I open the door I quickly realized this apartment was completely the wrong one, the layout was not the same as the apartment I toured, it was smaller and had less storage, I went back to the office to let them know and they all pretty much brushed it off as if there was nothing they could do, but offer me the correct apartment that wouldnt be ready until December (2 months away) and that it would be an extra $90 a month!! So with all of my belongings on the moving truck outside and me being hours away from having to pick my 2 year old up from school I HAD to move into the place because we had no where else to go. I asked to speak with their district manager and Courtney the property manager informed me that I wasnt allowed to have her number, weeks later I receive a call from the office stating that I could move into the unit in december and I wouldnt be charged the extra $90, at this point Im excited thinking my troubles are over, for whatever reason I wasnt able to move in until January and the apartment was infested with ROACHES, the carpet was dirty, a vent was hanging out of the ceiling and it smelled absolutely horrible!!! Im now in a house and will never live in another apartment because of this, honestly the worst apartment experience Ive ever had.

Please do a favor-Don't pay attention to the bad reviews! Take it from me, Picky lady who wants the best in everything, and who lived in 5 apartments and in 3 states -Cottonwood reserve is the best! I have rented this place from 2016 until last saturday when we moved to our own place, all good things should come to an end and our stay in courtney oaks as well. Unit: For our first home in Charlotte, we are happy. We are in a 2/2. The unit was in a good condition .The prices (including a garage, cable/internet and trash valet) is very reasonable. Neighborhood/Area:We lucked out with quiet neighbors and overall I feel safe. The neighborhood is clean and well-maintained. It is pet friendly but unfortunately not all pet owners clean up. The location is fantastic! Lots of shopping, dining, bars and coffee places to hang. Plus, it's a short drive to South Park/Uptown and all areas we like to visit! Staff: Courtney Gammon (property manager) Ginger Hull (assistant community manager) Tarynne Johnston (leasing consultant) I interacted with everyone in the office. Each one of them is sweet (and professional) as can be!They always have time for anyone they come across and they know each one personally and they make you feel you are special. Plus, they always say hello and have a smile! The community has a website and office staff membersare interactive and quick to respond to resident posts. Maintenance: I always see maintenance staff cleaning and maintaining the property. I really like how they look into things if something seems out of place, they are very prompt,friendly and helpful.Maurice Grier (service manager)Aaron Fennell (maintenance technician) are super helpful and very very reliable, they always make sure the resident is heard and happy. when I told them, we are moving to our own place they were so happy and excited for us and they went above and beyond when I asked for suggestions and help in finding right people for job in my new place- Mo, I'm really really thankful to you, You treated me like a family-Thank you Mo. It is a bittersweet moment for me to say goodbye to my home in Cottonwood reserve,If only I can take the staff and maintenance crew with me I would happily do or tie up my property with Ms.Courtney's efficient management!

Nice complex. Closer to Shopping area (Costco, Publix, Walmart) and uptown. I-77 and 485 are close by as well. Bus to uptown (express and local) have stops few meters from the Apartment. Staff are very courteous and Friendly.

Great location. Apartments are not up to date and ours was quite dirty when we moved in. Food crumbs still in cabinets and ovens. The pro is the 10 month lease is cheaper than the 12 month, so great for people like us who are house hunting. There is an infestation of stray cats all around the apartment. It's really gross.

Do not listen to any of the other reviews, they are mis-informed, outdated, or motivated to review for ridiculous reasons. This is the single best apartment facility I have ever lived in. The staff are all fantastic, enthusiastic, intelligent, and work extremely hard. If you have an opportunity to lease here, DO NOT pass it up!! This place is a gem in a very muddled Charlotte rental market. My wife and I are devasted that we have to relocate and truly wish we could take Cottonwood Reserve with us. 10/10 would recommend!
