The apartment itself is ok, although there are lots of bugs inside the apartment and the washer/dryer don't work that well. The really bad things have to do with safety and the pool area. I heard from my neighbors about many car burglaries going on lately as well as braking into private garages. As far as myself, I had a few things disappear from my apartment. I always make sure to lock the doors. But still, things are missing...The other really disgusting thing is the pool area sometimes. Recently there have been parties going on at the pool and people were extremely loud, leaving glass bottles around, leaving cigarettes on the ground...i saw it myself how a few of them had just finished eating with their hands (hot dogs and food that you usually don't use utensils) and without washing their hands they just jumped into the pool! With greasy dirty hands! And some of those people were wearing shorts and t-shirts, not even bathing suits...wow, so inconsiderate... Management must definitely work on these issues. I believe some of those people didn't even bother going to the bathroom...cause the pool was right there. Also, I thought each resident is only allowed 1 or 2 guests maximum at the pool...but somehow there were a lot more guests at those parties than just 2 guests. And it is totally fine if you have many guests for special occasions, but not every weekend and everyone should respect the other residents and be considerate of others. And management must definitely work on SAFETY!!!

Ive lived at The Pointe for about 3 years. Its beginning to feel like home now. Im so impressed with the staff here. Cortney and Stephanie are always upbeat and beyond helpful. Brandon has gone beyond the beyond to help me out. Hes a real gem. The maintenance staff is a joy to know,, always prompt to help out and very friendly. The grounds are kept nice and its quiet. I would recommend The Poine at Cortland highly. Thank you to all the staff for your help, your smiles and just know I appreciate you. Again, thanks, Brandon for your extra help. I stayed here for 1 year in a 2 bedroom Apartment. We liked it. The location is good and price also. Only problem was parking, if you come home after 8-9pm , finding parking near your building is difficult.

They've been VERY responsive to questions and the few things I've needed to get repaired. The office staff and property managers are also amazing! This is a great place to live!!

The neighborhood is absolutely terrible. The manager Jessica is almost never in the office and the assistant manager Morgan is clueless. Whenever we requested a work order we always had to follow up because usually never submitted right then. We had originally moved in the neighborhood 2015 with a one bedroom no pest issues up until we transfer 2017 in august to the 2 bedroom, the unit was NOT EXPECTED correctly and had a HOLE behind the oven in the unit, last month bugs stared coming through that opening which turned into a nightmare. My fianc and I had to barricades ourselves within the room, stay at my moms house the remaining time until CORPORATE Intervened and ended our lease with no penalties. My fianc did have the office manager Jessica come look at the kitchen and living room before the lease was ended she stated " apartment was still livable" a joke. The neighborhood when it closes has a parking lot issue due to the children in the street because the neighborhood has no park for the children to play in but has a dog park. The maintaine people don't fix any issues only fix at. I recommend if you are looking in the area to look at ANSLEY FALLS NEXT DOOR. Say yourself the headache. If you really need something done if you do decide to stay there ask Stephanie or Marquise who are very knowledgeable about the complex. All in all good luck

I'm rating this place at this time because my fiance was thinking about moving here. She getting a lot of run around and not getting anywhere. She's been trying for weeks now. The property manager, assistant manager and workers are not on the same page. They all come back saying something different on the deposit. Email manager and no call back when asked to give a call, all she really does is email. Being an ex-officer, I pay close attention to the little things and the big things also for the safety of my fiance. I have seen a lot of comments about other people having problems with the same thing and now I am seeing comments that the gate doesn't work and people are having problems with cars getting towed away for no reason; has me raising questions about her safety....3/12- management got in touch with her I up it to 3 stars for now, we see how her move in go if anything else changes!!4/6 She decided not to move in. When she calls she's always getting different prices. When she checks her rent Portal says 730$ at move in and when you call and get a person he say 1300$ then another person would say 1800$ it just gets to the point she changed her mind she felt like they was trying to take advantage of her. Do your research, if not comfortable with the people in the office then you should not rent here! marquis Apartments. She got a better price there and it's and the people in the office are A1. Just in case you need proof I have pics and also a voice recording of the conversations with the Pointe.

I have been living here for a few months, and I must say that coming from some of the best apartment complexes in the NY metropolitan area, this has been such a great transition to the South. The staff is very helpful, and on top of any issues that arise with a quickness. Stephanie, and Angela have been such a Great asset in helping with the transition from one Cortland property to this one. The grounds are exceptional, and the environment is extremely quite and great for an urban residence. If you are looking for a place to call home, I would highly suggest The Point for consideration.....

This is a review people need to read!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Way over priced for how crappy they are, only cosmetically updates but actual apartments are cheap and falling apart. Get a better apartment, like one newly built anywhere in Charlotte for same price with better amenities better service better trash collection better everything. So here is the list. I have had a hole in my ceiling that it took them a week and I have to fix as it was leaking water into my apartment along with a leak under the sink. They have had to replace my stove after I moved in because it was broken they had to replace my washing machine. The appliances here are not energy-efficient they use a lot of water and a lot of electricity in the washing machines dont even get your clothes clean I had mine replaced and it still crappy. The refrigerators make a ridiculously loud noise constantly that really makes you feel like someones knocking on your door. When they came to replace my washing machine they broke the water valve I went without water for almost 3 days and nobody in the apartment complex would do anything about it or fix it until I started calling every 30 minutes having to literately cuss people out until someone finally came over and realized maintenance had broke the water valve and thats water was off to my apartment after maintenance had hung up the phone on me multiple times and was rude.The showers are small definitely were not upgraded it was just the showerheads I have had a broken shower rod theyve never fixed I ended up having to put my own up. The toilet seats when you sit on them shipped so much you will fall off it took them six months to fix one of mine they have still yet to fix the other. I have two windows that are painted shut and have been painted shut since I moved in six months ago they still have yet to fix that but I call about it almost every month. The gate almost never works when its cold outside the call buttons dont work so if you dont have your key fob Or have anyone over they cannot get in. The dog park has still yet to be fixed the fencing is very cheap With lots of holes in it. We pay for pest-control but he almost never comes through and they will not schedule a time with you and your dogs cannot be in the apartment while he spraying. Water has been cut off three times to my apartment in two months. This last time and email was not even sent out I went without heat for two weeks in my apartment when temperatures have dropped down to 17. Some of the doors lock on their own. The door knobs to get into the apartment are cheap and break off I have seen it happen to multiple apartments also the screen for the sliding doors come off all the time half of the apartments just have them sitting to the side on their balcony. Also in my heat broke I saw a lot of dust in the vents and mold pretty sure that is why me and other people the apartments stay sick.We do not have recycling we pay for valet trash however its never consistent time when Valet trash comes. Water getting cut off is such a problem that the office keeps water stocked to try to hand tenants, but not all of them i guess they have grown tired of me complaining about all these shabby conditions. Valet trash will sometimes come at 6 sometimes 8, and doesnt run Friday or Saturday when you need them the most. The grounds are also not kept up with very well you would think with the rent being as high as it is they would at least have someone come in and poop scoop but a lot of people do not pick up their dogs poop and theres almost never dog bags in the dispensers. Another tenant in the complex when she moved in found blood in her apartment that had not been cleaned up from the previous tenant. The sliding doors to the patio dont open or dont lock which is a concern if you live at the back of the apartment on Nations Ford on the bottom floor. There is even more to add to the list but this review only allows me so many characters.

I have been living at the Pointe for a few months, I have to say the office staff is incredibly helpful with anything you need. I haven't had any issues with my apartment. The area is always clean and tidy. Update: I have now been at the point for almost a year. Since I've been here they have made a lot of changes to the property including a new gym and pool area. They have recently done many upgrades to the dog park. I have to say that whenever I have a question Morgan has been incredibly helpful. Also there is a new manager and she has done great things to improve the property. I would highly recommend if you're looking for an apartment to check out The Pointe!

Use to greatly enjoy this place. But the price of rent compared to the headache is no longer worth it. First of all they contract a tow company that will tow your car even when its allowed to be parked there for a short period of time (like unloading groceries at night) or a garage. They lerk and target certain cars every time they see them. This same tow company the pointe contracts hit me with their truck, i now have bruises on my hip and back from this guy literately hitting me with his tow truck while trying to find out where to go to get my car. They tow your car for any little reason they can find, i cant believe a complex would contract and work with a company so rude and violent who constantly tries to rob their residents. I do not feel safe here. Secondly Ive gone over 24 hours without water and come to find out they only cut the water off for repairs for a few hours, they just kept the water to my apartment off and every time i called they kept giving me the run around. To go this long without water, cant even use the bathroom in my house is ridiculous. When they finally come out its because when they were replacing my broken washing machine they broke the new washing machine and water valve and had to cut the water off to my whole apartment and said nothing about it, they were just going to let me sit. But thats not all. We have a dog park in the complex but the fencing is so riddled with holes that it really doesnt keep dogs confided or allow for a free roam play area, i have brought this up to maintenance and the front office for the past 3 months. Solutions? Tried to stick a board at holes or use zip ties. Why not just install a proper fence or actually fix it because the temporary fixes are just as bad as the holes. The gate is only closed some nights (has gotten better recently). Ive been asking for a garage for over two months and at first the told me it would take a month, fast forward two months later and i finally am told it will be a week or two (after dealing with car being towed and even someone hitting the passages mirror off my car). I really use to love living here but Im unsure what has happened as of lately; if its specific to me or the whole complex. All i know is i get told i will get a call back and i wait around all day and no one ever calls me back i have to walk up to the front office for anyone to actually acknowledge me. Also there is a major roach problem in my building but every time i try to get my place sprayed they never call before hand to schedule, and the bug guy shows up and Im told my dogs dont need to be here for about an hour (well duh i dont want them poisoned) but no one is able to give me a time frame or anything so that he can spray since i need to make arrangements for my dogs. I have made arrangements before believing he was coming back the next week and he did not instead i had to put in a new service request. One time i had a dog walker arranged for my dogs and told the guy to come back in an hour or two when she arrived and he never came back. Still have yet to get my apartment sprayed. Finally grew tired of it and now i just keep a show ready for roaches in the house, i kill at least 1 every other day.

The Pointe has been my home for a couple years now and I just renewed my lease. The staff here is amazing especially Anthony. Maintenance is great they are very efficient and friendly even when I have an issue on the weekends after office hours they are quick to respond. I really can't think of anything negative about this place other than valet trash pick up could be more efficient.

We have been residing in the Pointe Apartment for past 3 months. We are so glad that we chose this place. The apartments are beautiful with all the upgraded features, new cabinets, clean floors, spotless walls, Nest controller, Bluetooth speakers and new kitchen appliances. Storage is no problem with a large number of cabinets. The bathroom is spacious and has two entry/exit doors. The bedroom is huge and can accommodate two king size beds. The whole apartment gets a lot of sunlight. The best thing about living here is the welcoming staff and management. They have a patient ear and they ensure that all the maintenance related requests are attended to quickly and efficiently causing least trouble to residents. When we came here to see the apartments, we were very warmly welcomed by Morgan who, very patiently, listened to what we were looking for in the apartment and showed us the best units that were available for a quick move-in. She made all the paper work look very easy and our movement a breeze. The recently renovated swimming pool is a delight in summers and is very well maintained. The gym has reopened this week and has all the new equipment. Also, there are weekly training and yoga sessions absolutely free for residents. Overall the community is quite clean and peaceful. I would highly recommend the Pointe apartments to anyone looking for a peaceful and hassle free stay.

Anthony has been nothing but help and recently Morgan has been extremely helpful as well. The property manager is really sweet too. I literally love where I live. I hate seeing so many negative reviews because the gym and amenities are beyond the office and staffs control. The staff is amazing, they are personable and if you do have an issue all you have to do is tell them. Moving in you know what is and is not available and what is and is not available, since they do in fact tell you that PRIOR to leasing. I know this first hand. The apartment homes are beautiful and its awesome for the rate. My pup loves the dog park. You really do get what you pay for and a little more here.

I have been living at The Pointe the past five years and would recommend it if you are looking for a convenient, centrally located place to live. Like any place where you lease, it has its good points and a few bad ones, BUT overall it's a nice place to live. All of the apartments have recently been remodeled. The current leasing staff is the best they've had in my time here. Nicole, Anthony, Morgan and Stephanie are all attentive to your needs and always do their best to rectify whatever issues you may have in a timely fashion. The maintenance staff is also very friendly and responsive in a timely manner. The location of The Pointe is convenient to Uptown, the airport, RT 77 & 485. My biggest gripe is with the independent valet garbage company that is contracted to pick up your trash, however the office is continually trying to rectify the problems with them.....I've enjoyed my time living at The Pointe and would recommend it to you....

As a resident of 1+ years, I really love this complex. It's one of the more affordable yet updated places to live in South Charlotte. The staff is super friendly and our neighbors always say hello. If you're interested in moving here, don't give it a second thought. :) I'd recommend The Pointe 10 out of 10 times!

I have lived here for the past year and loved it. A new company took over the complex recently and they have been working hard to make the complex upscale and I have not had any complaints. The office staff is so friendly and they all make the effort to remember the names of the residents. They're prompt when I have questions and they are building a gym and hosting mixers for the residents. It has been a great living experience and I would highly recommend The Pointe to anyone who is considering it. I am sad there have been many negative reviews left over from the previous company because Cortland has done a great job with the complex. The apartments have been renovated and are beautiful. My only complaint is that the parking spaces are a little too small. Otherwise, it's great
