We moved to Chloe on Madison in December 2019 when they were offering a free month of rent for an 18 month lease term, but lived at an Equity property prior (Equity is the holding company). We live in their "Open one bedroom" floor plan, with a city view on the 5th floor.
Pros:
- Brand new complex and apartments (built in 2019), nice hardwood flooring throughout and "modern" appliances and bathroom
- Great rooftop with fire pits, tables, lounge chairs, and gas grills and amazing views of cap hill, Mount Rainer, and the city
- Air conditioning!!! This has been great since we work from home and it DOES get hot in Seattle. AC is a must for me which was a big reason we chose Madison.
- Paying rent is easy with their website and mobile app
-Great location, within blocks of coffee shops, world-class restaurants, and the best bars/nightlife in town. However, the light rail is a 15 min walk.
Cons:
-At least one of the two elevators is always broken/needs maintenance. This should not be a reoccurring problem for a luxury apartment
-Utility costs are extremely expensive and this is at nearly 95% capacity (so empty rooms can't be an excuse). Much more costly than less efficient buildings I have been in, so this is a surprise. We pay ~$150 a month on average.
Overall, we have enjoyed our time living here, but the complex is slightly overpriced for an "above average" apartment. However, the location is great if you're in your 20s/early 30s and like to go out.
