I have lived in a few student housing apartments near UTSA and this one is definitely the worst. ALL of the "good reviews" on here are fake, written by the staff. Go look for yourself, it's super obvious

This place sucks so bad. Please don't move here. The front office is overwhelmed with complaints all the time, and they couldn't care less. They are rude and condescending. This place is ugly, dirty, and not worth the thousands you and your roommates pay per month. They are infested with ants, and the so- called renovations were not worth the rent increase. The work was shoddy and done by unprofessional workers who stole stuff. Don't believe the fake reviews, they keep deleting the negative ones. Also, they did away with so many Visitor spots, because they are happy to tow you and collect.

Wisdom helped me & my roommates out when we were looking to sign a lease with a new apartment complex. He gave us a very detailed & informed tour, as well as answered any questions we had. He even accommodated us so that we could sign our lease papers as our earliest convenience. He was great!! Anyone looking to lease here should go to him! :)

This is by far the worst place and I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are unprofessional and lie to cover up for themselves. Ive made several work orders to fix a hole and several other things since I moved in and 9 months later theyre still not fixed. Yet they say they already fixed it. So for anyone considering living here, yes the price is good, but Id rather pay a little more for better service.

Not bad for the prices in the area. Not too many amenities, but the apartments are furnished and include a washer and dryer. Extremely helpful front desk staff, but sub-par maintenance. Maintenance staff are very friendly, but it may take more than once visit for them to fix the problem. Not 5 stars because of the tenants (young college students) and previous incidents (one break in, though the apartment addressed the issue and offered solutions to me). Feels safe even with past incident and is a good option for directly moving out of the dorms.

First off, I give this review 4 stars mainly because of the Wisdom, Shibu, and Michael. They are friendly and try to attend to whatever concerns you have. The Reserve went through some renovations recently and it looks nice now, but they could timed it better. It was inconvenient to students because we were kicked out of the apartment for the whole day while school was still going on. The furniture, floor, and granite counter tops makes the place look more sophisticated. They added a lot more features to the complex like a gym, study rooms, and a dog park. It added a better value to the complex for how much we pay a month to stay here. A main concern was that when you request a maintenance request, it takes forever for them to respond. My roommate sent in a request for bug control and we still haven't had our issue fixed. It has been 3 weeks now. The amount of parking for visitor is also very limited now. There used to be a ton, which is nice because friends could actually come over. But now, people have to fight for their spot. Overall, the Reserve is a nice place to stay at for the amount of money and it is close to campus. But it is the management behind it all, that could be improved. Thank goodness the office staff is friendly and attentive and does their very best to help.

The carpets were stained with black spots when I moved in and I took pictures. They never replaced the carpets and my family had to contact a lawyer so we didnt get charged when I moved out. Management was really terrible at communicating with the people living in these apartments. If youre looking to move in here I suggest you find some other place because the nice happy faces you see when you walk in just is a facade and you should pack your bags and run like hell.

They have all these signs around the office that say they have the fastest best wifi around and I havent had over two bars since Ive been here. Horrible living conditions and everything is broken and old. They finally made updates meanwhile they throw your furniture in the grass outside and Brooke Pedrique apologizes for the inconvenience. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! The apartments are in horrible condition and people brake in all the time. The office is horrible and I HATE IT HERE. Worst mistake of my life, signing a lease I can not get out of. Jesse Snyder, Tyler cooper, and especially Brooke Pedrique. Do not care about the tenants. This place is a rip off and is overpriced. In total, this is not a 2,000$ apartment, disgusting place to live. I HATE IT HERE!!!!!!!

Horrible place to live. ATTENTION. Do not live here. There had been endless break ins. There is mold on the walls, and the hallways have water damage. Ive complained and all they did was paint over it. They do not care about their residents and the office is run by college students who are completely unprofessional. Tyler cooper the leasing manager looks like a 18 year old boy who knows nothing about the complex and Jesse Snyder is a unhelpful old man who does not care about the students who live on the property even though he is the property manager. He only cares about money and the apartments are in horrible condition and it takes weeks for someone to fix one thing. Out of the 100s if things wrong.

The Reserve's maintenance is WORTHLESS! I just moved into my apartment and went to open my window blinds when they snapped. Mind you that I didn't pull it the wrong way or with extreme force (showing the quality of the window blinds). So I call the main office and they told me that maintenance would take care of it. 2 WEEKS later maintenance didn't show up. So I write a formal report online and gave it 1 more week and still nothing. I went to the main office and they tell me that maintenance is busy due to renovations. Fine, I'm a reasonable person and decide to wait till maintenance can get to me. A MONTH LATER they leave a note on my door saying a replacement is going to cost $80! Excuse me! but no! They didn't even give me a replacement blind after waiting this long and now expect me to pay $80 for a CHEAP window blind! I'm better off buying one at Walmart for $30 and fixing it myself in 1 HOUR. Needless to say don't stay here. Maintenance is unreliable, wastes your time, and will overcharge you.

As good as any place else, went three days without hot water, no internet for about 3 to 4 weeks, no refund or anything, no warning. Got my apartment mixed up and sent my maintenance requests to the wrong apartment. Not gonna name name's, but one girl in the office keeps giving me wrong info, straight up lying. Very misleading about things, you don't find out their wrong till its to late and contract signed, no one holds any responsibility for the mistakes.

The Reserve Apartments are far from a place to call home. The building that I stay in always has dog poop everywhere and nobody picks it up after the dog is done with their business. During the "renovation" period they property management obviously thinks it's okay to throw all the old furniture everywhere on the lawns and under the paid car ports. Plus all the new furniture they put in is just laid out all over the grass in boxes waiting to get stolen. Any complaints or stolen property from your apartment never gets resolved because the assistant manager doesn't follow up to let you know if you will ever get anything back. Avoids tenants calls, emails and forwards calls at the office after speaking to her once or twice about the issue. The office apparently never answers the phone and can't call you back after leaving multiple messages. The pool is always green and never cleaned properly. Neighbors are loud and come home late knocking on the door at 3am in the morning and forget calling anyone to trouble shoot at that hour, nobody goes out to open the door at that time, even though you can leave a voicemail. Dryer is always breaking down, bath tub won't drain water correctly and the carpets are so dirty it's so gross. Rent has gone up $30 for i don't know what, the renovations? Don't waste your time here, very unprofessional environment. Don't expect Brooke or Jesse the property manager to call you back. They don't call you back for anything. The response to this review from management is pointless. It's just a show to the public that they are going to "Try" to fix this issue. Don't move here, i promise you, you save yourself so much trouble.

Nice apartments just a lot of maintenance issues when I first moved in... ventilation in bathroom not working, ant problem, blinds were completely broken, to name a few. Their study room isn't 24 hours which i hope they change soon. Wisdom that works there is the most helpful employee there. He's very kind, patient, makes sure you're taken care of, and communicates effectively.

I'm not sure who these people are that say maintenance is quick but that is 100% false for me be my roommates. We arrived on move in day with paint scratches off the wall and our fridge wouldn't close. I physically went into the office about it 3 times because we were having to use a heavy item to keep the fridge closed. Then I went ink the office to tell them our freezer stopped working. They said they would come at 8:30am and still no sign... again! So now it's been almost a week our fridge NO doesn't wrk at all and ALL of our brand new food is going bad. Mills meats, cheeses are melting. We still have no wifi, cable or tv. Honestly with all the issues I have experience just in the first week I definitely won't be coming back next year. The staff is friendly though just living here has become too much of a burden.

The rooms are nothing like you see in the model they're way smaller even though they swear they're all the same size. The new management sucks and is super unprofessional & maintance is horrible!!! It takes them weeks sometimes even months for them to come. Please just take your business else where you would be paying so much here for something that isn't even worth it AT ALL

It sucks because the people who work here are nice, but no body communicates anything to the residents here. I am about to start my second year leasing here and am so deeply annoyed at myself for thinking this place would improve with new management. They said all these glamorous things about the renovations but all they did was increase their prices and maintain, if not worsened, the level of communication between the front office and it's residents. I have had constant issues with the maintenance staff leaving the ac and lights/fans on (therefor increasing my apartments electricity bill nearly $100) and the front office have not responded to my emails or phone calls. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else.

I love it here! My daughter moved in August 2016 and i am so glad she chose The Reserve. I feel safe with her being 4 hours from home with this place as her new home. They are doing renovations and making the place even nicer! I have never had a complaint from my daughter. Parents, the reserve is the place to send your children!!!

If you plan on leasing at The Reserve, do yourself a favor and DONT! Hey guys, just wanted to share my experience to save y'all some trouble. I lived there for two years. It was awful the first year but they had a change in management so I gave it another chance, BIG MISTAKE. They changed management 3 times. Packages were always misplaced. There were constant break ins in cars. The gate was always opened or not working, trapping you inside because there is only one entrance for each side of the complex. There's never visitor parking. Maintenance requests took months. The AC unit was constantly down. Cable and internet was constantly down, once for two days making it really inconvenient to study. I usually don't mind noise, but if you do, get used to drunks running around the complex yelling at 3AM Wednesday thru Sunday. Front office staff was friendly but that doesn't make up for the terrible facilities. They're currently under renovation and asked us to be out of our apartments for 3 days (May 24, 25 and 26) we complied. My roommate and I got a hotel for those 3 days, which they did not help with of course. When she returned to our apt June 1st, everything was as we had left it. Our apt remained untouched because a piece of their equipment "broke" so they have postponed renovation for a whole month, and they didn't bother to notify us of this. Management could care less about this inconvenience, of course. Prices here are low but it is not worth the hassle. Students, you have been warned. Good luck on your search!

I have lived here for almost one year and I already signed. The Reserve has a perfect location, aesthetics, and amenities. The reserve is located so close to campus and the shuttle service is definitely a bonus. The renovations that are being done to the apartments look so great and they are getting finished with them so quickly. I have never felt inconvenienced throughout the remodeling. The pool and the gym area (both of which are getting upgraded) were already so nice before, I can't wait to see them when they get finished! The apartment comes with so many great features, such a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and the bedrooms, kitchen, and living area are very spacious. The front office staff are always very helpful and maintenance is always on top of things. I would recommend The Reserve to anyone and I intend to live here throughout my collegiate career.
