I'm giving it 3 stars because it's not as secure as they say it would be. Someone stole a remote from the garage and they email us saying that all remotes have to be changed and reprogrammed. I went to get mine changed only to be told "oh we're still figuring things out, we're having trouble reprogramming". Fine, fair enough. It's be what almost a month and no more emails for progress. Also, I don't enjoy interacting with the blonde lady, never bothered to learn her name but whoever she is, she is very rude and unpleasant to talk to. I talked to neighbors and apparently she's just a jerk to everyone sms doesn't know how to actually do her job. I would consider having her replaced with someone friendlier and more competent. She's the reason I deducted another star. Hire better front desk staff.

Love these apartments! We just moved into the sunnyside floor plan. It's a smaller than our last apartment, but the natural light and white fixtures and lighting makes it feel very open and bright! You can't beat the location and the price, plus it's a dog friendly!! Very excited to live here.

I moved into Moda Newhouse late in the summer of 2017 but was out of town when my lease technically commenced. I arrived home about two weeks into the term of my lease, so I had to scramble to get all of the paperwork completed and get oriented to my new apartment. My fall semester was also about to begin so I had a lot going on at the time. The Moda Newhouse staff made my move-in process so much less stressful than it could have been by communicating with me regularly and being patient about my frequent visits to the front office to ask questions. I was also unable to access my mailbox at first because of some problem with the lock, and Brooke, the manager, went out of her way to *PERSONALLY* collect my mail from the delivery people for a week or two until the lock could be replaced. The staff is incredibly personable and easy to get along with and the property is clean and quiet. Ive had a great experience living here so far.

I really like living here. It's a smaller, secure building with great parking in a really convenient part of town. Rates are reasonable for the area, and I've never had an issue with management or maintenance. There are lockers for our packages with the codes texted to us, and we all have the option to add keyless entry codes to our doors. It's a great place to live.

This is very new place with modern interiors and high efficiency appliances which is a big plus compared to some other places we looked at. The staff has been great and maintenance has been very quick to respond to any request. It is walking distance to pretty much anything you could need (groceries, restaurants, gyms, parks, library, light-rail, etc) and has underground parking options.

I've lived in a few different apartment complexes in our city and I'd have to say Moda Newhouse is definitely one of the better ones. There's a few reasons that I renewed my lease (I'm on month 14 at the Newhouse). First, like all the other reviews, the location is unbeatable. Between having Smith's, Trader Joes, and Whole foods all within a block, I have not driven to go get my groceries in over a year! Also, if I want to go out on the town, a Lyft or Uber costs me 4 bucks. Secondly, the units are extremely functional. The floor plan is laid out in a way that makes living here very comfortable. Some of the things I've enjoyed are the giant kitchen island, walk-in closet (where my efficient washer/dryers are), and best of all my great view of the city. Third, the management office has been great. Brooke and Mike always say hi to me when I'm walking past the lobby. More importantly they love saying hi to my puppy. Lastly, I feel safe here. Everyone knows there's some questionable people that can stroll around downtown and with how the doors/elevator require to scan in, I feel very safe. So if your on the fence about this place, I'd suggest you give it a try. I wouldn't be surprised if I renew for a 3rd year when it comes up.

When you are picking where to live the most important thing is location, location and location. In this case you have perfect location. I wish we had swimming pool but that is just nice to have. After living in the building for almost 2 years the best thing that ever happened was the change of management, now you can feel that there is somebody to take care for the building, elevators are clean again, hallways don't smell bad, underground parking is much cleaner and when you need help or maintenance everything is happening quick and easy.

We've lived here since the building opened, we really enjoy the location! Parking in the garage is easy, even with a pickup truck, and the friendly neighbors make it a great place to live. Management in the past was subpar, but Brooke has turned everything around. We always receive quick, thoughtful and polite responses, and Mike is on-site every day for any maintenance issues. They really are a great team, and they've been the difference when we decided to renew our lease for another year. They've fixed all the issues we've noticed from the previous management company, and they've also added some great things as well! Smart door locks, home automation, security cameras etc. 10/10 We love living here.

Living here is great. I moved in about 8 months ago, when the previous management was here. I wish the new management had been in place by then because it's much better now. When I moved in, my apartment has not been deep cleaned or cleaned at all truthfully, so that put a bad taste in my mouth. However, that was the old management. The new management has frequency in hallway carpet/stairwell/common area cleanings has increased from 0 every month or so. Management is very responsive, and I hear from maintenance the same day I put in requests. The 1 star missing is because of the experience I had with the other management.

Giving one star is being too kind. I lived here for over two years and let me save you some headache and money and tell you how it really is to rent from this company! The new management does NOT care at all about it's renters! Expect to wait months and months for maintence issues to be fixed, if that even happens. Try not to be surprised when the issues they never got around to fixing come out of your deposit when you finally move! True story happened to us. Also don't even bother cleaning when you move out. We spent all day cleaning everything spotless and still were charged a huge cleaning fee from our deposit. When we called to say how outraged we were, they told us there was nothing we could do, they already had our money. They require you to pay for services you don't want or need like a Valet trash service and cable, who needs cable nowadays ? They make you pay for parking, even outside parking and will raise your rent on you with no notice. The apartment is know for being very animal friendly, so expect to encounter lots of bad smells that are poorly masked by cheap air fresheners. I should also warn you that they only clean the stairwell closest to the elevators, that's the way the take potential renters. The other stairwell on the other hand is stained with animal urine and feces and is absolutely disgusting . Again, instead of actually cleaning it, they just installed air fresheners to mask the stench. Its expensive to rent in Salt Lake City and we as renters need to help each other out by being honest about our experiences. Don't waste your hard earned money on this place! I hope this helps any potential renters in search for a home. This building might be animal friendly but its not sanitary or renter friendly. Good luck.

Seriously the most unprofessional property manager. They give you a price for a unit, but it's a lie. They nickle and dime tenants. They sneak in "common area" fees? What is that? We don't control the thermostat in the halls! I had to wait to inquire about a lease while her tattoo guy was showing her options. The worst. I ended up at the Encore and it is so much better!

Are you actually kidding me? It is 80 degrees currently in our apartment and that's with the window open and three fans on. The AC does not work. We reported this in December. Yes, even when it was SNOWING we would have to open the window because the apartment would be 80 degrees. After reporting this issue numerous times since December, getting the run around, telling us no one else was having this issue, you FINALLY called someone to fix it last week. NOW we find out that multiple people in this building have the same issue, therefore you were lying. And that you know what the issue is (AC needs a new part) BUT the AC repairman cancelled the appointment to fix it. We were told on Wednesday that Friday it would be fixed. It is now Monday. We were told TODAY it would be fixed by the end of the day. And AGAIN we do not have cool air. We were just told that the AC repair company you employ REFUSES to send someone else to come fix it immediately because it is under 80 degrees outside and therefore "not an emergency". THAT IS BS. NEWSFLASH: The high was 79 on Saturday. So YES this is an emergency. These are unlivable conditions. Please contact me as soon as possible to get this issue resolved or we will be pursuing legal remedies.
