I loved living here. It has the nicest staff and greatest maintenance workers. They are very animal friendly and keep up on all of their maintenance. I would highly recommend living here. My only down side was that I have small children and the apartment is more for animals then small kids. That can't avoid some animal poop or the smell of urine Which others don't notice. I only do cause I have small kids who want to sit on the grass.

I'm writing this review just based off of a tour I took of the apartment over the weekend. I like that it is tucked away from the road a little bit, but its located in one of the ghetto run down blocks of cottonwood heights. The pictures make it look so much better than it actually is. The lady who gave us the tour was sweet, but very talkative and seemed to want to converse, rather than show us the apartment. When we walked in, she just sort of glared for a moment as though we were the first humans she had ever seen. She said, "sorry, we just aren't usually busy on sundays". Okay...? She looked as though she had literally just rolled out of bed and was still wearing her PJ's. It set the tone as unprofessional from the get go, and I almost didn't even want to tour the apartment just based off of the relaxed, uncaring vibe. It seems like an okay place to live, and decently priced, but I think there are better options available.

During the winter, a pipe had broken. Maintenance Craig I believe his name was, ordered the part and repaired the problem with timely manner. Ive ran into him a couple times and he really makes you feel welcome and apart of the community. This place is great because of their management and their front line workers (maintenance and receptionists). I highly recommend moving here.

Never having lived in an apartment before I have no comparison. For the most part the office staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is overworked. One guy can't cover the entire complex. Small maintenance issues are handled quickly. Major repairs take a long time. I am still waiting for baseboards to be replaced from a flood last May. (Sub-contractor issue) Appliances need to be updated (Owner issue) Dogs and cats are welcome, however, owners of said animals do a poor job of cleaning up after them even tho the management supplies doggy doo-doo bags.

These apartment complexes dont look bad at first glance; looks can be deceiving. Some of the things that we missed upon initial inspection before move-in were constant leaks (both bathrooms and the kitchen leaked by lease renewal), faulty wiring (some outlets dont work and other switches didnt work), and maintenance people that dont care about your personal space or belongings (they used my towels to partially clean up their mess then left me to clean the rest (which would have done further damage had I not)), Ive had them do work on my water heater without even lighting the pilot back before they left, Ive had them unplug my personal equipment to charge tools that they hadnt charged ahead of coming to fix an issue. The caulk around the tub looks like it was applied with a catapult and the wallpaper is peeling back a lot. They gave less than 4 hours notice of work to be done in which they needed to come into my apartment, not the first time. The list could go on for a while. Dont get me wrong, one or two or even 5 issues can be dealt with. But EVERYTHING being terrible really weighs you down. The only improvement that I have seen is they replaced the rude and disrespectful office staff that was there before. Id stay away.

I lived here for about a year and I had a really good experience. I remember there were times when I would send an email to them and did not receive a response, but if I sent them another email, they got back to me. I think they have improved a lot in communicating back with their tenants. Whenever I contacted them, they would get back to me. Whenever I went into the office, they were very helpful. When we had issues in our apartment, they made sure to have someone come look at it and fix anything. Always friendly and very helpful staff!

I started off giving this place a 5 star review- I liked the staff and really loved my apartment and hadn't had any issues for a few months. Then the summer came and my A/C unit kept going out. I remained patient and continued to submit requests. Currently I've been a week without A/C for maybe the 3rd or 4th time this blazing hot summer, I've submitted 5 different requests for my AC having gone out, and I've gone over 2 weeks now without a properly working refrigerator so my patience is running thin and I'm no longer met with friendly faces in the office. Also I wanted to point out that there are prior complaints and quite a few people in the same boat as myself in this complex. I like the apartments but they are older and the management company just isn't willing to actually spend the money to fix problems- and they are constantly getting new maintenance staff.

Do not rent here! We have had it with this Apt. complex and will be moving soon. We have been here for almost 2 years and should have never renewed our lease. The management here is by far the worst we have ever dealt with. Our first encounter with the incompetence of management was when our apt started flooding. We had to call many times just to get a maintenance person over to our APT, only to be told they could not do anything. Then the person in charge literally ran away, I am not kidding, I was told by the head of maintenance that she jumped in her car and literally ran away, so she did not have to deal with our problem. Our second run in was the last straw. We have a teen who does some school at home and some at school. We have made it very clear that no maintenance shall come to our Apt when she is here alone. We were told many times that it is no problem and that maintenance would call us. On 3 different occasions they have come here without permission to enter and have done work in our apt with NO NOTICE. Luckily 2 of those times I was here. The one that I was not, she locked herself in her bathroom and waited for them to leave. I asked why they did not call and was told that it would be the office who would call us. Trust me, the office IS NOT that busy to not give us a heads up. When you turn in a maintenance request it clearly asks if there is permission to enter, we have said NO each time and they have never contacted us. It even states on Cottonwoods web site that you will be notified in 24 HRS of their arrival. It never happens. When we called the on site management about this, she was a bully on the phone and got very heated with her responses. She even said we have no rights as tenants, that she can do what she wants and can enter our apt ANYTIME. She is a delight to deal with. Pros- -Nice Dog Park -Pool is nice when its not closed -Close to shopping -Nice Clubhouse -Some of the staff is friendly -Seems like cops are always here doing something Cons- -It takes at a minimum 5 times to get maintenance to do anything- then they just randomly show up with no notice. -Old Appliances -Next to Walmart with a bad homeless and drug issue - Rent A Cop security-they drive through the complex at 10 PM and that is it-good luck if you really need anything-But cops are here EVERY weekend (see pros) -The amenities are outdated -Hot tub NEVER works -Worst Head Managment I have ever seen -Some bad dog owners-lots of poo -The Ground Maintenance starts at 7 am on the dot in the summer-it gets loud -Paper thin walls -Small for the price -Flooding in a lot of areas

So far we have had no issues here and want to stay if the fix the hot tub. A lil dog poo here and there. We have dogs so it makes us upset when other dog owners make us look bad for just that reason. As for the hot tub that was a main reason we chose this location. We're on the 3rd month it's been down and I walked by today and it still said closed. I saw it steaming and that was a good sign but Please fix that soon! As for the staff they have been very nice and welcoming. I would and have recommended this place.

Where do I begin..... DO NOT LIVE HERE. I was under pressure to find a place quickly moving here from out of state and this place was relatively cheap so I bit the bullet because it looked nice online. Should have read the reviews beforehand. Landlord is super cheap and doesn't update/fix anything until they are broken. Outdated, cheap appliances. Several Gas leaks now. Our water heater is placed on CINDER BLOCKS which is extremely dangerous and they have yet to fix it. Mail routinely delivered to wrong address-this has happened to me 5 or 6 times. No way to sublet once you sign lease, forcing you to stay locked in. I have filed more maintenance requests here than at all of my previous places combined! I don't usually write google reviews but I really hope this post helps people make the right decision when choosing a place to live. Please save yourself the hassle.

I moved in October 2016 and have had nothing but great experiences thus far, they have been super flexible with leasing requirements for my roommate and I, the staff is always helpful and courteous in whatever interaction I have with them, and most importantly the maintenance has always been timely, the longest I had to wait for something to Be fixed was a couple of hours, last month our heat wasn't working and I reported it to the office and by the time I got home from work we had a new thermostat installed with working heat. Love this community

I wish there is a 0 rating available with google. This is the worst place we ever lived. This apartment had bed bug problem from the day we moved in. It is always a pain to go see someone at the office. They treat you very badly. I am not sure if they treat everyone like that or just us because we were not white. Few of my international friends lived in this place in other apartments they have told me the same. The assistant manager cassedy never wants to listen to you and just talks very very rude. Manager is no different from the assistant manager. Thank god we moved out of the place !

I've been here for a year people were great at the office maintenance is wonderful but what happens in your home stays in your home maintenance were all over the place same things about my children then my kids got into a little bit of problems here and now they asked for me to move out when a lot of things happened here my kids found syringes people smoking weed and weed coming in through the vents to my apartment I have kids with disabilities there's just so many things going on here but I will be moving now I ask to see if they can think about them terminating my lease they said no you only see the negative things that happened but never the positive

So I came home one day to find that someone had been in my apartment. When I called to see why there wasn't a paper left from the maint. crew, I was told that no body had been there. I told the girl that somebody had been there and if they didn't know who it was, then I would like my locks changed. She said they would have to charge me for that. Since it had nothing to do with anything I did, I didn't understand why I had to pay to protect my home. She refused, and kept insisting that nobody had been there from the staff. I am very disappointed that I should have to pay for new locks for something that was not my fault, Very poor customer service.

I really wish that I could give a good review but I don't feel like I can. First let me start off with the staff... Before you move in, the staff is great and wonderful to speak with. After we moved in, it seems that they are all just annoyed to deal with you at all. They are not very friendly. I feel like I can not go to them when I have a problem with something without feeling like an inconvenience ... which brings me to my next issue. Maintenance and property. There is a problem with the irrigation system on the property so there are a lot of puddles in the parking lots. Deep ones... In one particular puddle there are a bunch of huge rocks. These rocks damaged my car at which point I called the office to let them know of the issue and it just wasn't a priority for them to get rid of these rocks. There was also glass in the middle of the road. I called about that too... They said that they would send someone to clean it up but its still has not been done and it's been two days since I called. That could also very easily cause damage to someones vehicle and tires. Which they don't seem too worried about. There is also a speed bump that hits the bottom of my car if I don't drive over it at a certain angle. I never feel comfortable calling maintenance because I feel like an inconvenience. We have a leak in one of our bathrooms but they don't seem too concerned about that either. It's rather irritating to listen to the dripping all the time. Our broiler is also broken but when I told Maintenance about it he told me that most of them don't work around here. I am constantly having to call the night patrol about noise problems at night. When I told the office about an incident that happened, she didn't seem to care at all about what had happened and just gave me the number for the patrol for next time. There was no "im sorry about that" or "I can look into that for you". I do have to say that when I have called for Maintenance they have come to fix the specific issue that I asked them there for anything more and you need to call again just so they can set up a work order. But by that time you already feel bad for calling in the first place. ... You just feel like a big inconvenience. That's how I feel every time I call the office for something.
