Its okay ... I had a mice problem a couple of weeks ago. I seen 2 of them in my apartment in the same night. Killed one in the hallway & couldn't find the other one. I called the office about 5 times that night. No one ever responded. The next day at about 3 pm, I finally went to the office & was told that they received my message & "mice aren't on the list of urgency" , asked if I have pets & if I clean well & pretty much any other question that could indicate that it was my fault. & on top of all this the mouse was sitting outside of my apartment for a week .

My husband and I moved in June1, 2012. We lived on 3rd floor in beginning, but switched to 1st floor to have a 2 bedroom. We just moved out of Barkley Ridge July 31, 2017. We really enjoyed living there, but thought it was time to buy a home.
When we moved from 3rd floor to 1st we got our whole deposit back. And our final move was July 31. We got the whole deposit back on that one too. We made sure our apt was clean. That is what they look for when deciding on return of deposit.
We had a mold problem while living on basement 1st floor. They took care asap. Even offered a place for us to stay if we needed. I was just recovering from surgery and had health issues. They were very speedy and did an excellent job. Mold man came back after repair and said the apt was in normal mold range.
Also, they send a bug man to every apt once every 3 months to inspect and exterminate if needed. And they ask for residents to call office if bug is seen. They exterminate asap if you call.
I just want everyone to know they are honest, and help the residents.

The woman I dealt with in the office was always miserable and now I am having issues renting anywhere because they claim i owe them money. This place will seriously ruin your life.

This place was horrible to live in. They refused to fix anything and deal with the BLACK MOLD under my kitchen sink. I moved out now they have collections calling me. Now I think I'm going to take legal action agents them and bring everything from the hospital where I had to go for me breathing in mold that they wouldnt treat! They said all the problems I had in my apartment were my issues I had to deal with them on my own!!!

Lived here for a year and never had an issue. Staff was always friendly and attentive whenever I had questions or asked for anything. Maintenance was also very prompt to respond whenever I requested help from them (never had to wait more than 2 hours to get a call, and every problem was solved by the next day).
It is a pretty quiet apartment complex where everyone keeps to themselves, but the few people I have met in passing have all been very nice. The only serious annoyance is when the pest control people come through for preventive spraying. It's good that it is done, just annoying to clear out your kitchen and bathroom with a weekends heads-up notice.
It was a great price and location for someone paying their way through college at NKU and working downtown in Cincinnati. Can't really get a better value for what you pay for in price and location.
Some other people have complained about roaches, but I have never had an issue in the year I lived here. I live on the 2nd floor of a building if that means anything for you.

I assume this is not a problem for every apartment, but my apartment reeks of cigarette smoke, especially certain times of the day. I even bought an air filter just to make it smell decent in my apartment. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke and I smell it seeping from the kitchen cabinets most of the day. The hallways on the second floor of the A building is heavily clouded in cigarette smoke.
What can I do? I'm just a broke college student trying to make it on his own. Each month that I pay rent is like one day closer to Christmas for a kid - I can't wait until my lease is up so I can move.

Just because they cant fix every issue in that same day does not make it a bad place to live. They are reasonable. Only bug issues i have ever had are stinkbugs n spider but thats not their fault thats anywhere. Rent is reasonable.i think their should be community activities bc we are all neighbors :) your apartment is what you make it i call it home !
