When we moved from California to Wisconsin a few months ago, we were looking for an apartment to call home while we transitioned to life in another state. Sycamore Woods has fulfilled every requirement we had.
Our apartment was clean and contained all new appliances when we moved in, and the staff was remarkably helpful helping us coordinate our cross-country move. Rent is extremely reasonable for a one-bedroom, maintenance is always on top of things if we need them, the advent of on-site laundry facilities is awesome, the apartments are pet-friendly, the Beltline is quickly accessible, and the parking is abundant. The neighborhood feels extremely safe compared to where we lived before in Fresno.
There are too many positive things to say about Sycamore Woods to list in a Facebook review; I would recommend coming out here and checking out the apartments yourself. The staff is working hard every day to improve upon the past criticisms of the property, and it shows!

Edit: Responding to the response. I have the emails and had the credit pull to prove this is a bald-faced lie. Hopefully a name change to the complex brought better policies and management. I even filed a legal complaint against this complex.
Very overpriced! Nice people but weren't willing to work with me as I had a unique situation. Lucky I found a great apartment much cheaper and way better.

A ton of these reviews are super old. The place has really been cleaned up! The new remodel is one thing, but the people who run this place now are night and day difference, too.
Ran into some financial trouble last year and they were super understanding, even with our rent being more late than on time, they never once threatened to evict us or anything of the sorts. Trouble neighbors are dealt with as fast as Wisconsin laws allow; can't just go around evicting everyone either.
Great location and very reasonable prices for all of the money that went into cleaning this place up. Give it a try (or another chance if you've lived here before), you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Staff does not seem to go above and beyond for their residents, and at certain times have seemed rude. The "updates" were indeed done...
Staff does not seem to go above and beyond for their residents, and at certain times have seemed rude. The "updates" were indeed done during renovation, but installed poorly. (floorboards not meeting door thresholds, sub-floor uneven, unmatching paints on same wall, etc.) Grounds are barely upkept, pool is not opened until after mid-June, (They have to clean it up after using the area for maintenance storage.), all parking spaces - which are already hard to come by - are not completely cleared (if at all) when it snows, etc.
Also, bed bugs have been a huge problem in the entire building for the last NINE months of my lease. This is not acceptable to me to have to ready my entire apartment for an exterminator MONTHLY. This requires me to move all furniture away from walls, strip beds, stand up mattress/box springs, empty closets and dressers, vacuum all carpets, and wash ALL laundry dirty or not. (in the shared basement with the other half of the building where there are only 2 small washers/dryers for 16 units, running near to $3/load). Not to mention being required to keep out of sprayed areas until end of day.
Though I liked that it only took me 7 mins to drive to work, and the #16 bus comes right to the doorstep, but $900+ a month is a ridiculous cost for this type of living. This is not the worst place to live, but for the same cost you could find a better quality apartment.
The office staff are very rude and uncaring. In addition to treating you like you're less than them, they blatantly ignore maintenance problems inside and out of the buildings.

Went 5+ months complaining about the hot water before they finally did something, appliances may be "new" but cheap so they work when they want to, have had ant problems since I moved in 9 months ago, place always smells of cigarettes & pot, neighbors are rude & obnoxious, people selling drugs & getting shot right outside, place looks like it's about to fall apart & everything just gets painted over, & management clearly doesn't care about anything! Run away from this hole in the earth as fast as you can!

This is by far the worst apartment complex to live in with incompetent and insensitive people to deal with. DO NOT LIVE HERE! The 2 bedroom apartments are extra small and overpriced for the location. The walls and cabinets in the interior are poorly painted and the doors look like they were scratched by cats and dogs that were painted over. When I moved in I noticed roaches! This has been a complete and utter nightmare. I rented a vehicle and someone who probably does not live in the complex hit the car and did not leave a note and there aren't any cameras. People are constantly hanging out and selling drugs. The corporate office are full of unprofessional money hungry individuals with terrible customer service. Do not waste your money and time. You can find a better apartment and pay $850 - $900 in a better location and with a peace of mind.
