My boyfriend and I lived here for 4 years (and were one of the Lyric's first tenants), and I'm still so sad that we've left! If not for the fact that we've moved out of the state, I'm sure I would still be here for another year. This was seriously one of the best apartments I've ever lived in.
Pros:
- Wonderful staff (shout out to Kaelyn!) - you see them everywhere all the time, beautifying the place and maintaining it with care; they knew my dog by name within the first week of me bringing him home and always made an effort to give him loving rubs
- Maintenance is fast and VERY responsive
- You know those apartments that try to charge you for every little thing when you move out? Yeah, this place doesn't do that. Any deductions from the deposit are FAIR (amazing, right?!)
- Elevators are really fast (but occasionally break down / have peak travel times -- especially during COVID where safety regulations were up and they were restricted to single family use at a time)
- Neighbors are great and friendly
- They love dogs here! So convenient that there's the vet downstairs too (though they're a little pricey)
- Easy access to bus routes, but I want to say that the parking garage fee is 100% worth it
- The 11th floor is a HUGE draw - beautiful work area, great views ... geez, I miss it
Cons:
- Parking garage gate breaks down from time to time, and right before I left, there was a safety curfew for when guests could take tickets to enter (may not be in place now)
- The area gets loud when concerts play at Breese Stevens - but that also makes it easy to watch what happens from the balcony or 11th floor!
- The rent rate increased at like 5% each year for me, so by the 4th year, I was looking at a significant hike in price - understandable, though, and happens everywhere
