I've been in Washington park for five almost 6 yrs due to the decent price. However, this is the worst place to live the new management is horrible all of them have attitudes as if your inconveniencing them. The new owners are pathetic for putting the tenants through all these cosmetic changes to the outside whilewhile we still have to deal with horrible plumbing/sewage problems. Out dated air conditioning units, flooding basements which whenever that occurs I have been told to sweep the water to the hole in the floor. As soon as I'm able I am running away from Washington park. And I advise any potential tenants to do the same!

Edit: I've seen the apartments recently, they're making the outside pretty and not doing anything for the inside that they need to do, it sounds like from the reviews that I've read that basements are still leaking and the rats are still a huge issue. I thought that the new owners would at least take the time to actually fix these apartments and do what's needed to make them safer to live in instead they decide to paint the outside of the apartments to make them seem better and not fix any of the real issues, its sad really
Terrible place to live, if I could give zero stars I would. Whatever you do please don't rent a place here, the basements leak when it rains from the windows and my place had a cracked foundation that never got fixed so every time it rained heavy it leaked. There was black mold in the cabinets and under the sink on the cabinets, they have rodent problems and they fix it with glue traps which don't trap rats only mice. They fixed the hole with a wood board and the rats still got in, there was just a murder there not long ago and a bunch of criminal activity outside of that. You never feel safe in that complex not to mention the maintenance guys don't care about anything that is wrong, we told them that water was leaking into the kitchen from the bathroom and the matinence guy told us that the air conditioning units were more important. When black mold was discovered above our kitchen sink they gave us a can of spray paint to cover it up and told us to fix it, holes were left by matinence above the sink and never fixed not to mention the office staff is anything but nice and for the price you pay they should be sweet as can be. Whatever you do please don't rent here and if you do just know that nothing you complain about will never get fixed and there's black mold within the apartment which is a huge health risk

There's far better out there. The buildings look lovely on the outside, but don't let that fool you. These units are terrible! Cracks in the ceiling, paint peeling off of the walls, plumbing issues and a flooded basement during heavy rains are what might await you. If you call maintenance, you're in for a very long wait. For the money they're charging for rent, you can find a nicer place. If only I knew then what I know now.
If you decide to make the mistake of moving here, be sure to use a camera to record everything during the walk thru inspection. You just might need it one day.

The rent is way too much for what you are getting out of the townhouse. It is just a very bad place to live, especially if you need them to work with you on certain things. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I wish there is a zero star. The apartment looks nice outside but the inside is something else. Wall is too thin that you will hear your neighbors conversations. Wall is also plastered and you cant put curtains on the windows. Water bill is very high. None of the door will close including closets doors. Nothing is working inside the bathroom. Apartment is too old. It need to be renovated. Needs new doors and new everything. Not just painting if there is a new tenant. Worst place so far.

Update- right after I moved out someone was shot dead in their front yard in broad daylight and swat raided a house looking for the suspect. Not a good neighborhood. The move out process was more difficult than it needed to be because some of the ladies in the office are jerks.
Pretty decent place to live. Rent is a little pricey, but the apartments are very large. I wish the kitchen was bigger though. Good neighborhood with lots of kids. Plaster walls keep you from hearing your neighbors but make it so you can't hang anything on walls. When you move in expect a slop job of a thick (1/4") layer of plaster style paint over almost everything making it so the doors don't close unless you chip away some paint. Several inspections a year that they do at least warn you about. I am set to move out of this place after 1 and a half yrs because I'm relocating probably wouldn't be moving otherwise.

If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. I've lived here for almost 13 months, my lease is up in 21 days and it has been one of the worst experiences of my life. The walls are very thin so hopefully you like hearing all of your neighbor's conversations and them running up and down the stairs all the time. The parking is not assigned so good luck getting a spot close to your apartment. They also let cars that haven't moved in months just sit there despite complaints. They're constantly leaving notes on the door saying they'll need to come in to do this or that and to put your animals away in a bedroom which is very inconvenient. The couple times I've had to have a maintenance person come, they have made a mess and not cleaned it up. I also had to have someone come three different times before they fixed the issue correctly. The bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan so you have to crack the window which didn't have a screen in it until I requested one so bugs were getting in, obviously. The water gets so hot it will burn you. And the cherry on top is that you'll have squirrels running around in the ceiling waking you up and the office will tell you that it's normal and they won't do anything about it.

They would come to patch it up never would fix the problem. To the point were the cabinet. Had mode it......all they worried about is fixing the outside of the town homes never the inside......and there rent. And late payment's. So i say this Run for your life find something else

I lived there for 3 years only because none else will accept large dogs. In the 3 years that my fianc and I loved there we experienced several problems including major mold issues in the kitchen and bathroom, faulty appliances, clogged toilets/tub/sink, leaky basement. The most major issue was the upstairs bathroom leaked water heavily from the tub and nothing was ever done about it, water would literally be standing in the kitchen below the bathroom. The office staff are not only dishonest but they are terrible people to work with. They are extremely rude and almost never help with any issues. Also the maintenance staff are very rude and do EXTREMELY shotty work. Do not live in these apartments! It was the worst-most unhealthy living experience of my life!

The townhomes are huge and I loved the layout, but not worth dealing with the incompetent and petty office staff.
I moved into a unit with mold in the kitchen. I had no choice because my original unit was flooded and I was relocating from a different state. They promised to take care of it asap, but pretty much nothing was done after a month. After repeated requests, the maintenance finally sprayed down part of the cabinet, but totally missed the fuzzy mold growing underneath the sink. Gross, I know, but remember I didn't have much choice. My family finally had to travel here to help me take care of it. A little ridiculous when the staff is paid to take care of issues like this.
While the mold was the worst incident, the repeated uncooperative and condescending staff finally got too much for me. Any needed repairs were a bandaid fix at best. Gluing down cracked kitchen floor tiles is not a solution, only a bad temporary fix.
Stay away!!! Not worth the stress of dealing with this staff.
