I have lived at Heritage Hill Apartments for nearly 3 years. I thought I'd give some pros and cons for those considering the complex. First, the pros: There is a lot of storage, which is a huge bonus. The layout is decent. The grounds are very well kept, always neat. When I have needed maintenance, they are quite responsive and helpful. I've had a couple of more complex issues, and they have kept at it until it was fixed, which I appreciate. I have *never* seen bugs or rodents in the apartments, and nothing outside except the usual bugs (i.e. no roaches, etc), so they are very attentive to pest control. There is a good mix of neighbors, various ages etc.. I have never felt unsafe. There's no one hanging out, playing loud music, etc. Some folks do hang out on their balconies or patios, and sometimes play music, but it's normal living and not intrusive. There is always plenty of parking; I have never come home to find all the nearby parking spaces taken. They are pretty quick about clearing sidewalks, roads, and parking lots after snow. They do have a swimming pool and a small community building, but I don't use those facilities. I consider it a safe, clean, well-maintained, and attractive place to live, in a very handy location at a good price. I have no regrets about moving there.
Now, a few cons, and I don't consider them to be major ones. This is not a high end apartment complex. The fixtures are standard apartment fare, and not high-end either. Example: I live in a unit with two bathrooms. In one the cabinet with the sink hits me about hip height; the other hits me about 6 inches or more lower, which makes it awkward to use sometimes. My point there is, they apparently had to replace one of the cabinets at some point and put in one they had, rather than matching or upgrading. But it's functional. I had to take off the doors on the closet for the washer/dryer because it was too shallow to hold my units, which are not fancy high end models. I have a few times heard my neighbors below in the living room and the neighbor behind in the shower, but it's rare and not loud. In my unit the hot water heater is *tiny*, I think less than half the size of a normal household one. That means you'd better shower fast, and leave time before anyone else takes one.
If I had it to do over, I'd probably choose Heritage Hill again. On the points that matter, they deliver well and without nagging. For the price it's a solid choice. You'll have what you need, live in a nice environment, and feel safe.
