I am really enjoying my residency here at The Cottages. The three lovely ladies in the leasing office are always friendly, helpful, and very sweet. And the maintenance staff have be wonderful in taking care of the few service request I have made in a very timely manner. They are also very friendly when you see them around the property, whether its a friendly wave or hello, how are you?, or have a quick question about a concern. Exceptional customer service all around. Which makes it such a pleasant experience living here. Keep up the amazing job, Cottages on Tazewell staff!!!
I also have some pretty awesome and friendly neighbors too. The other residence I have meet have also been friendly. Its a nice but quiet community of different people that get along.
As I personally work in customer service and do not take these kinds of things lightly. I like to give credit and respect where it is due.

When the property first opened it was wonderful but it has since been bought out by a large corporation. The new ownership is nice til you sign the lease and then when you need something fixed they take weeks or never fix the problem at all then charge you to fix it when you move out. When I moved out I was told there would be a carpet cleaning fee then 2 months later I got a bill where they had replaced all the carpets and the padding underneath which of course I had to pay for to which they literally laughed at me when I asked why a sudden bill. I know you think I'm probably just a disgruntled former tenant but not the case! If u can I advise you buy a home it would actually be cheaper than paying their rental prices, or if you aren't in a position to purchase a home look to rent elsewhere. And the reviews that spoke on Brenda being so.wonderful that's very true she was her not being there ruined the property she cared about her tenants!!

My husband and I have lived here for almost 2 years and we love it! The apartments are spacious, beautiful, and the separate entrances make them feel more like homes or condos than an apartment complex. It is also the only apartment community I could find in Knoxville that has washers and dryers in each unit.
It has been great to have the exercise room and pool on site and all of the shared areas are kept very clean and tidy. We have always been able to park right outside of our apartment.
The staff have been wonderful to us since the first day we walked in the office. We sometimes stop by just to say hi!
If you want to live in a friendly, quiet, and exceptional apartment community in Knoxville, we definitely recommend the Cottages on Tazewell!

Not enough parking. Poorly planned parking lots. Landscaping at front of complex is nice. Nothing around actual apartments but ugly plants or bushes. No security. Dark around areas of buildings. Office staff is nice.

I recently moved into the Cottages and it was by far the best choice I made so far moving to Knoxville. I looked at other places but the staff at here definitely sold me with their warm and welcoming environment. They even worked with me on a tight turn around for moving in. I also love the fact that I don't feel like I live in an apartment building. Instead, it feels like a small community and I hope that as time goes on for me this continues.

I have lived at the Cottages for over 2 years now. I love my apartment and the atmosphere of this place because it feels like a small neighborhood rather than a complex. It is always clean and well taken care of. The residents here are kind and considerate to everyone. I love that they host events for residents to encourage a community feel here.
Another thing that I love about this place are the wonderful staff here at the Cottages. The ladies in the office are always warm and welcoming to me. Anytime that I have had any concern they have sought me out personally to help me and comfort me. Anytime I see them, I am greeted with smiles and hugs. These ladies go above and beyond to make sure that their residents are well taken care of. They were the reason I chose to live here rather than another place. They helped my transition back to Knoxville for graduate school a breeze.
I love living here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet home type of feeling.

I came in looking at a one bedroom and two bedroom apartment. I was offered 103 for a one bedroom and a two bedroom (if my sister were to decide to move in). I applied and was approved and paid all fees required to hold the apartment. I did ask if they could hold both until I spoke with my sister that evening to see if I would need the one or two bedroom. They agreed and said that was fine as long as they knew an answer by Friday. One thing I also did speak with them about was my dog because this apartment was right by the pool. They did not show any concern about my dog at all. I called the very next morning when they opened and told them I would take 103 because my sister declined. Not even 30 minutes later Brenda who is the manager called back and stated that she was concerned about my dog being right by the pool and she'd hate to tell me he would have to go. This was discussed the day before and was no problem. Her solution was to put me in a disability apartment where of course the appliances are smaller and well as counters. I was not interested. I was at work so my mother called to speak with her more. She tells her that 103 weren't even available to be rented. So which is the true story? I believe neither. I am 99% sure that she rented 103 up under me that afternoon to someone else and were banking on me taking the two bedroom when I had paid fees to lock that apartment. They did refund all money but this was highly unprofessional and did nothing but cause unneeded stress on me now having to find another place to live on top of being six hours roundtrip away from Knoxville. I wouldn't stay at this place if I was paid. Word of Advice: Go somewhere else!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Brenda and her staff are some of the most friendly and caring people I have met. The apartments are beautifully designed and make you feel like you are living in your own house. If you want to feel like your apart of a community, the the Cottages are the place for you. It will be hard to find anyplace better.

LOVE IT! We have been here for over a month and absolutely love it. The apartments are really nice (brand new) and the neighbors are nice. The office staff is also the best group of ladies. We came from out of town and the move took a little longer than expected. Brenda, in the front office, waited until we arrived around 8pm to make sure we were given our key and were able to move in. Talk about customer service! Coming from Atlanta, GA, were had a tough time finding quality apartments in the area. So glad we found this gem in Fountain City.
Amazing customer service. Club house was pushed back a week but everyone who works there is sincere. They care a lot about that customer.
