I will say, I do miss living here. The rooms were practically soundproof as we had a neighbor that played loud music on weekends, but we never heard it inside our unit. You actually won't have as many neighbors as you would at a traditionally outlined property. The unit we lived in was very spacious for the price and I like the location. I enjoyed walking my dog all throughout the property which gave us both a good workout with the hills nearby.
The washer & dryer was a bit on the small side, but we made it work and the space was great! It was the first unit I lived at that offered central air instead of the window a/c units. We had a fireplace in our unit that we made sure to take advantage of when weather permitted. There's plenty of parking, although many residents would park in the visitor spaces which makes it a bit inconvenient if you're trying to have guests over. Sadly, we had to move out as we were getting a 3rd roommate and the property does not offer 3 bedroom units.
Review star removed because the biggest disappointment was within a week of moving in, the complex got new management and all of our paperwork was lost/misplaced along with our first month's rent paid via check. Our 72 hour check-in list with photos, insurance, car descriptions, details regarding our dog, and other pertinent information needed to be resubmitted. This info would be lost at least one or two more times before moving out after 2 years. I understand that insurance information needs to be provided yearly, that was not the issue.
Staff in the Leasing Office was great, but communication was sparse. Sometimes I got an e-mail but my roommate did not, or vice versa. We figured out the problem after the online portal changed, but by then we were already moving out. If we had sent an e-mail, while getting a callback was great, an e-mail would've been nice for documentation purposes depending on the concern.
There weren't any dog stations near our building while we lived there, but that was okay since we had our own disposable dog bags attached to the leash we used. The problem was residents did not pick up after their dogs; especially those living on the first floor that would put their dogs on a lead and leave them unattended. There are plenty more dog stations added when we moved out so perhaps it's gotten better.
Work orders were encouraged to be placed through the online portal, but depending on the urgency, some work orders would not get completed for an extended period of time. I get that maintenance had their hands full, but I would refrain from placing a work order unless it was urgent or an emergency. I did not have too many issues while living there thankfully, but did not have much faith in the turnaround time for some issues. If they were to be addressed, we would not always get a notification in advance and maintenance would just show up. Working from home with a roommate that works the night shift, this was very disruptive to both our schedules since she slept during the day.
Lack of elevator aside and the above issues mentioned, this was still a great property to live at (and I've lived in several apartment complexes). I know it doesn't sound like it, but for the price and the size of the unit along with the amenities, I would recommend Cinnamon Ridge over any other apartment complex I've lived at in the past.
