My lawyer helped my wife and I find this place last week. He even had an apartment finder look for us a place and they found this place. We looked at their model of a 2 bedroom and boy we thought we'd died and went to heaven looking at the model, office and grounds there. We knew it is over priced but most places are. We put in for a 3 bedroom $1,300.00 round about but close to it. Yes, you get water, cable and garbage free but at the price for apt. it's not free. You're paying for everything so don't let them fool you. We were though going to take the unit and the first month's rent is free but again this is only to pull you in to their web then you pay later. We were in one day this week on business and one of the person living there came in and it seems as he had some problems with a neighbor and as it seem he'd addressed it before with their office. Last night I thought I'd check Google for this place ratings. After reading all the 1 star ratings we changed our mines about this heaven real fast. I called them to ask them had they read what people living there were saying. They said they hadn't but would check. I told them by having the rating they have we weren't taking the apt. and how was we to get our deposit back. "Let me check...Yes but I'll have to cut you a check and I'll call you when to pick it up". I hope it doesn't take months to get that call because it better be tomorrow or at least Mon. or all hell will be raised!

I have lived at Wildwood Crossings for almost a year and have loved it. While everything hasn't run as smoothly as expected, the office staff has been absolutely phenomenal at working with me and making accommodations. I had a problem in my first unit, but they literally let me live in the show room for a few days while they payed a moving company to move me into a different building. Having customer service like that was completely unheard of to me after living at the nightmare that is University House. In addition to the units themselves, I love that the community is quiet and that there are people of all ages, not just loud college kids. The area is safe and I feel comfortable going outside the apartment at night by myself, which is hard to say for many areas in Birmingham. I was worried about my commute, battling Lakeshore every day, but I've been surprised by how easy it has been to get everywhere. Ultimately, I feel like the pro's of this apartment greatly outweigh the con's so I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone!

I found out i had to leave soon and they wouldn't even let me get out of my lease, they don't fix things in a timely manner. They say they will call you back and they never do you have to call several times to get any answers to anything. I am happy I'm leaving this place. The actual apartment isn't too bad, not too great either... If you have to live here just good luck dealing with the office people

However, on that note, the pool music has a tendency to not be turned off at night which is obnoxious for us living close to it. Also maintinence takes forever if it isn't something important. The trash compacter is never emptied and it overflows and smells. The people are kinda sketchy here unfortunatly because we love the actual apartment. and on the contrary to what people are saying about the people in the office, they are very nice. We have had issues with ants but that happens, and they come out and spray as soon as they can.

The people who work here do not care about any of the residents. They don't call the police when they hear domestic violence. They just stand around and pretend they don't here someone getting the life beat out of them. They turn the pool music up so loud you can hear it through closed windows and doors and when you call to let them know they tell you they are having a resident pool party. If you ask them to turn it down they won't. You have to call the cops.
