I moved out of my apartment over 4 months ago and paid the account balance through the portal. Since then, I have been receiving harassing collection calls for an amount that is far greater than the closing amount on my apartment, which I paid. I was told by the office staff that this is a known problem left behind by their previous site manager and it would be resolved. It has now been almost a month and I am still receiving collection calls. And Noah refuses to answer any emails from the office even though he is the one who originally helped me. I have a full set of emails and receipts to prove that I paid and have attempted to get resolution. If there was a zero star option I would have chosen it.

I moved here in April and found the place to be sublime. The place is modern, eclectic, and exciting. 5 blocks from the boardwalk at Ladybird Lake, and a minutes walk to the Buzzmill, Jackalope South Shore, Arandinas, Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, Riverside Liquor, and 20 more restaurants. The Mesh manager Anna, and leasing professionals, Shannon, Katilyn, and Noah are my great and personal friends. The Maintenance staff Roberto, Willie and Mike are always there to do their very best work with only a moments notice. I have to move to another city for a new job, but i will always love my mesh family. Thank you ladies and gents for allowing me to call mesh my home for 2017. Love ya'll to the stars and back.

Stay away from this place if you are foreign. They are racists. I loved the location of the apartments because they are at the middle of a small downtown, so I could reach everything quick. First. They seemed very gentle and I liked the apartment, even though the people was telling me that vandalism is all over the place. The fact that there isn't a fitness center in the place, doesn't help to an already skyrocketed pricing for the short term leases.
But the point to this is that they don't accept international people that are new in the area and are still applying for jobs, even if they have a guarantor that makes more than 10 times monthly the price of the apartment.
I am writing this while looking for decent apartments in the same zone, after Mesh accepted a $150 application fee knowing I was foreign, to decline it later because of the international accounts, which are completely reliable after paying 5 years of college without a single problem.
I hope Mesh apartments change their policy for future accounts since they are the only ones "scamming" internationals like this.

DO NOT RECOMMEND - VERY UNSAFE!
There was a substantial size fire in my building across the courtyard from me 3 days ago. Luckily, no one was harmed but this is no thanks to the apartment fire safety code sprinklers as they did not even go off. I also believe the faulty dryers contributed to this as they never receive maintenance and were clearly broken/smoking days before. Also, it took about 2 - 3 hours for someone from the property to even show up to the scene, even then - they didn't speak to us.(I'm not even positive he was from the apartments) NO email or notification was sent to residents about the incident. (the only email we received the next day was about rent and a workout class) I sent an inquiry through and still crickets (its been 3 days). I have yet to receive info on this and feel very unsafe living there as their safety measures are clearly not up to city code. I have yet to get in contact with anyone from Mesh or Roscoe about the situation.
Besides this, my car has been broken into right in front of my apartment multiple times and my rental car has been towed from the same place with no remorse or attempt to help. (could not get in contact with anyone, again). The construction is also unbearable.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. 1 star only for location.

**THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU NEED TO READ!!**
The leasing agent told me to go ahead and apply for the apartment, pay the $400 fee, and they could extend the 7-day waiting hold for a little longer since I didn't need to move in for a couple of weeks. I paid the amount and when I called up, she told me that she couldn't extend it. So I ended up paying two weeks of rent for an apartment I didn't use.
DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING THAT THE LEASING AGENTS TELL YOU. THEY ARE LIARS! THEY WILL SAY WHATEVER IT IS TO GET YOU TO SIGN THAT LEASE.
When I moved in, the apartment was filthy. It had human feces on the wall in the bathroom. There was a belly button ring left in the shower. Piles of dirt in the corners. The fake wood flooring in the bathroom was pulled off. IT TOOK ALMOST TWO WEEKS OF CALLING THEM DAILY TO GET THE FLOORS FIXED. Everyday they would say it would be done ''tomorrow.''
The apartment was infested with spiders. I asked for pest control to come by weekly. After three weeks, they finally came ONE TIME. Then they never came by again. No matter how many times I requested.
This apartment is crazy loud! There are two clubs next door and the residents are constantly blaring music until 2 or 3 am. EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you are looking for a quiet place to live, THIS IS NOT IT.
Living here was so miserable. Luckily, the leasing agent sent me a text message, before I applied for the unit, stating that the building I was applying for was a ''quiet area.'' Even though it was literally 100 feet from a night club. I talked to a lawyer and the property manager just let me out of the lease.
When I first spoke to the manager (before speaking to the lawyer), they said ''THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO DO IS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HOT WATER AND A RUNNING A/C.'' Then ended the conversation without any resolution.
So, if you are looking for any kind of customer service, DO NOT LIVE HERE.
On top of everything else, when I moved out, the property manager entered my forwarding address incorrectly. So instead of receiving the final bill within 7 days as stated by the law, I have to contact them to get a copy of it. By that time, it was processed as a collection on my credit report.
I lived here for almost five months. It was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had in renting a home. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYONE!!!
DO NOT LIVE HERE! DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES!

Excitement soon lost its muster about this place a month after signing the lease. Customer service is awful and they only want to take your money due to being in a good location. They exploit this HARD.
They butter you up when you sign the lease and forget about you while you live there.
You are better off with signing with the better and nicer apartments popping up everywhere in the Riverside.
This place gets 2 big thumbs down.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. LOOK AT OTHER PLACES!
***Also they tow your car off the lot at 3:30am even if you live there as a resident***

They made these apartments look pretty good. But the renovations they did were only skin deep. Prepare to pay 350 dollars a month in electricity bills in the summer here because they didn't redo the insulation or change the 70's windows when they updated the look of the units. The AC also has no effect in the dead of summer because the old insulation and the faulty windows won't keep the cold air in, you should make sure you like having your apartment set to 80F at all hours of the day before moving in.
Also cockroaches. Lots and lots of cockroaches.
But at least it's in a convenient location.

End of lease update:
My apartment was broken into 3-ish days before move out in broad daylight (around noon). SO there is that, but I never really felt unsafe in the area but you should buy a camera.
The move out process was annoying. They tried to nickel and dime for every little thing (most of which was there upon move in) which was really the only thing that saved me from paying some absurd amount of money... When you move in right down everything wrong!
The most annoying part is the final bill... They don't send you a letter stating here is your final balance send us a check or pay on the online portal... They disable your account and send your final payment over to a third party collection agency which you have to call... WHY. I'd understand if we didn't pay it but sheesh.
--------------------------------------
Lived here for 3 months now and I love it. Maintenance has been very fast compared to other apartments I lived in and the location is in walking or biking distance from the Boardwalk. They updated all appliances, flooring, and other cosmetic updates. The floor is a bit slanted and there are essentially no amenities; those are my biggest complaints.
