Downtown Atlanta Neighborhood Summary

Downtown Atlanta, known to the locals as the Five Points, is the very center of the city. You will find more historic buildings here then in any other area of Atlanta, giving it a vibe similar to New York City. The community here is quite diverse, partially because it is a meeting of the professional and the academic, thanks to the central location of Georgia State University. To cater to livithe college crowd, there are many 24-hour restaurants around, as well as some eclectic shopping. For entertainment, you can hop on over to Philips Arena. It is also surprisingly affordable compared to many other cities’ downtowns.
