Those wanting to live in Worcester fortunately have many options. Worcester has lower average rental costs than any of the neighboring towns, and due to the number of college students, there are plentiful multi-bedroom apartments and houses for rent. There are one-bedrooms to rent too, in one of the numerous complexes all around the city. Some of these one-bedrooms go for as little as $550/month with utilities included! Since QCC has no dorms, 75% of WSU students live off campus, and 50% of WPI students live off campus, you can expect tons of opportunities to split rent costs with roommates. Worcester is a hotspot of bars and clubs. Students of QCC, Worcester State, and WPI are definitely in luck. There are many frat parties in town, too. Some of the most popular bars in town are Armsby Abbey, Club U, The Citizen, The Dive Bar, and Ralph’s. The MB Lounge is a popular gay bar, and Funky Murphy’s is the best Irish pub in town. Ritual is both a great steakhouse and bar, and the Loft, or Loft 266, with its DJs, trivia nights, Ladies’ Nights and more, is very popular with the college-aged crowd.
