Southern Wilmington Neighborhood Summary

As you travel down the cape, south of downtown and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the neighborhoods become almost exclusively residential, though you will find restaurants and grocery stops along the two main thoroughfares, Hwy. 132/421 and Hwy. 117. Near Carolina and Kure beaches, the south end of Wilmington is also a popular spot for vacation homes, and rents are a bit higher a well. But you can still find a great deal with a ton of square footage among the beautiful scenery of this coastal area.
