I've been living here for 2 years and overall I'm very pleased to what I signed up for. The apartment comes with most essentials with a very modern look. The bedroom is spacious but the bedframe is just...cheap, and the mattress that came with it is ridiculously uncomfortable. You'll probably have to buy a pad. There are plenty of storage units in the kitchen area but some of them are not accessible by shorter people (the ones above the fridge are literally just there for decoration) and some shelves don't open completely. I didn't have any problem with the hardware such as the washing machine, dryer, or the dishwasher, which is great. Unfortunately, the microwave exhaust is basically useless. I don't understand why the window is blocked by the couch, but that's not really a big issue for me.
The management staffs are super responsive, nice, friendly, and helpful. I really enjoyed getting my packages because I'm always greeted by my first name and they remember which apartment I live in. The maintenance group is also fantastic. The location is probably the best you can ask for on campus. On top of all that, you don't have to go out to throw your garbage away, and there's a gym right under.
However, Ive experienced some major inconveniences such as broken elevator that was literally not fixed for weeks, and in some instances, both elevators were down. The power went off quite regularly the first year, but was pretty normal the second year.
Obviously there will be pros and cons for an apartment building. However, I think the positives definitely overshadow the negatives. I would definitely recommend people living here.
