We have been here this complex almost two yrs looks nice staff are helpful but only one thing worse you submit your rent online at the end of the day they will suprise you to send you a letter to the court by not paying rent while you have been paid and even without a notice for missing payment or by technical support its rediculous

I was so surprised that this gem was nestled away on what used to be a really rough neighborhood. The units were a nice size and all the building doors have security locks. I've only been there in the daytime but if it's this quiet at night I would highly recommend them.

These apartments areally a steal however there are a couple of bordwrlining issues that surround the complex. The staff and management are great. Ms. Regina and the Ms. Shavon are great however there are people who live here I know that they have not completed background checks on and sell drugs from the buildings. Also, I was accused of having a dog several times a when my neighbors who own a bull mastiff were the ones who had the dogs. I love the city of DC but it's absolutely ridiculous how many tickets I received in a 1 year span;over $1200 in tickets from parking in the complex parking lot and on the street. The parking is a major issue and the property management will not do anything about it. It's absolutely crazy around here if you don't get home before 5 pm. You will not find a parking spot at all. Overall I recommend moving here but catch metro.

The apartments themselves are really nice. Hardwood floors, new washer/dryer, really nice appliances, etc. The pictures you see online are exactly how EVERY apartment looks. They are not huge but for the amenities and prices in DC -- it's worth it. The neighborhood itself is a little sketch. Carver Terrace is right next door and full of people you don't want to live next door to. That being said, the neighborhood could be way way way worse considering the people I've seen walking around.
If you have a car -- you might endure more annoyance because parking is sorta limited depending on your building. But once again, this is DC so what do you expect?
I haven't experienced any package stealing but I think that really depends on your building and could, frankly, happen anywhere. I primarily get my packages delivered to my office (thank goodness for that perk!) or tend to order things that will be delivered on Saturdays when I'm home.
The office staff is nice and you can easily pay your rent online which I love! Overall, if you're looking for an affordable place in DC, this is probably as good as it gets.

It was great when I first moved in and then they started adding all the riff raff that hangs out all night, destroys your property (my car has been keyed, dented, and the side mirror broken off) and steals your packages from your door. Don't order online and expect for your things to be there when you get home.My packages have been stolen 3 times in the past couple of months! There is hardly any parking because everyone owns a car and then the guests come over and take up all the parking. It's a shame you have such nice apartments and nice staff that work in the rental office and have such disgusting neighbors!

As a property management professional myself, I must say that Fairway Park has the absolute BEST customer service I have ever experienced in all my years of searching for apartments! Lacy, Regina, and all of the office staff are always very helpful and friendly, and they really take the time to go above and beyond to make sure they meet your needs, from the time you lease your apartment, and while you are a resident at the community.
The maintenance staff is also very efficient and quick to take care of any service requests that you may have. They are always very responsive and professional, provide you updates to your requests, and work hard to ensure that all of your issues are resolved in a very timely manner.
I recommend Fairway Park Apartments to anyone who is looking for a beautiful and affordable community to live, and who are anticipating a smooth and easy application process. The apartments are finished with hardwood floors, new appliances and have an open kitchen concept - very contemporary and comfortable to live in... I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

I'm a young professional that was looking for affordable housing in dc and this matched all of my needs/wants. The inside of the apartments are beautiful with stainless steel energy efficient appliances; stackable washer & dryer; open concept kitchen; controlled access and nice size closets. The grounds and hallways of the apartments are well kept.
I actually grow up in this neighborhood, when the apartments were under the old management (before W.C. Smith purchased the property) as a kid in the 90's. Compared to how this neighborhood use to be, it has changed a lot. I see the big picture of things, this area is under a major gentrification project and just like many people I want to be ahead of the curve.
I'm not one to complain and I keep to myself. The only issues I found were with the other tenants who can be loud, rude and inconsiderate, especially late at night. However management would prefer that we call the police about the disturbances then inform them of the incident. Honestly that is how most property management companies are because they are limited in rights under DC law to terminate a tenant without proof.
