We lived here a year. Very laid back community, but with that comes some questionable characters... definitely a lot of drug dealing going on which made me feel unsafe. The apartments themselves are old but fairly renovated and the maintenance guy, Vince, was incredibly helpful. The 1/1 is very small but reasonable for one person (or two if you don't have a lot of stuff). There's a wall a/c unit that's loud and somewhat effective and laundry on site but not in the apartment. There wasn't really enough storage or space to live comfortably as a couple. The pool was generally quiet and nice. The location was good for me as a student as it was along the bus routes. However, the road running behind the complex, Escambia, attracted a lot of trouble. I called the cops several times while living here because I heard crazy stuff out our window. Management was standoffish and charged a cleaning fee after we moved out even though we had cleaned it from top to bottom. ThThe lack of safety and size of the apartment is ultimately why we chose to move.
