My experience here has been great. They are so accommodating and communicate well with their residents. Maintenance issues are fixed quickly. No complaints so far and love the updated appliances, kitchen, and laundry in unit is amazing. Very pet friendly but also clean and good about pet care.

The apartments are in a great location and that is definitely what you pay for here. The ladies in the office are very friendly, attentive, and always want to make sure things are great for each tenant. I love having the dog park behind my building and my neighbors are always quiet and respectful of each other. These are older units so you have to keep that in mind. I had several maintenance issues happen shortly after I moved in during mid September but they were issues that happen in older units and they were not the fault of the leasing office. The manager and the ladies in the office were great at resolving them and getting them all fixed in a timely manner. The manager even went above and beyond my expectations when addressing something that was out of their control. My only issue with the complex is there is room for improvement when it comes to communication between the leasing office, maintenance, and their tenants. There have been several times when maintenance had to come over multiple times to address an issue that could have been completed during their first visit to the unit. Im not sure were the breakdown is occurring but its frustrating for me and inefficient for the maintenance staff. Also, recently I have not been happy with the solution to fix the water that leaks into my window tracks when it rains. Instead of addressing and fixing the problem (the leak) it was decided to drill three holes in the frame of the window for drainage to the outside. It is already difficult to insulate an older unit from the outside elements but now I have these holes that will make this more difficult and could potentially allow bugs to get in as well. I am not sure if this is a temporary fix and they plan to replace the windows, this would go back to the communication issue, but I feel this is the solution since its the third time maintenance has looked at it. I will update my review if there is a change to the solution on the water leak with the windows.

I have lived at the District for two years. It is awesome! Close to I-170 so it's easy to get anywhere in St. Louis. The apt is great and comfortable. Facilities are great. I requested two maintenance services in the past two years and they responded within 24hrs. Highly Recommended!

This complex is great. Deb is the manager here and she has gone above and beyond for us. I would highly highly recommend these apartments. The only reason we are leaving is to get a home. These have all undergone a beautiful remodel and the pricing on the units is extremely fair and inline.

Love living here... it's been 5 months and I really recommend it. Very clean, kitchens are spacious and pretty, in house laundry is awesome, everything works well. Our apartment specifically is quite close to the highway so we sometimes do hear it (not a huge deal) but there are other apartments that are not by the highway if that's an issue. Lately we've also noticed that are bathtub paint is chipping a bit so I do plan to call maintenance regarding this but I will say that the District's staff is really great at solving problems and super helpful in general.

Honestly, my family's stay here has been great. We've been here a year and we still love it. The neighborhood is great, the staff at the leasing office are awesome, and it's quiet. The only thing we recently experienced that we've disliked is that our rent is increasing but we are not gaining anything additional. We're used to being offered a lower rental price agreement each year so this kind of threw us for a loop. Other than that, we love the district!

Ive lived here for about 5 months and have been very satisfied. The remodeled units are very nice and they are fairly priced. The grounds and buildings are kept up and always look nice. The staff is very friendly and maintainece requests are handled promptly and repaired well. I can sometimes hear the upstairs neighbors, but its nothing to really complain about. Overall I am happy with my choice to live here and would definitely recommend The District to family and friends.

I've been here for a few months and love the service. I wasn't too happy with having to mop the floors after the bug exterminating guys came through with muddy boots while I was at work, but I'd rather rent from people who care about maintenance of the property than slum lords that let the building decay. They are quick to respond to any issue I have, and overall it's been great living here.

These apartments are a great temporary living space! There are some definite downsides to living here, the biggest of which include an unsecured exterior building door, the apartments do not hold heat at all, and parking is a bit of a struggle. However, the people in the leasing office are fabulous and helped us through an odd employment situation. I would definitely recommend The District Apartments for a short-term living arrangement!

I'm not sure where all of the 1-star ratings in relation to maintenance are coming from. I've been living here since August and have had good experiences. Yes the apartments were built in the 50s, however if something breaks I've had minimal issues in getting it fixed. Typically I just call or send an email. If I call, I have someone at my unit within hours, if not the next day (if it is non-emergency). We had plumbing issues in the unit, however maintenance was very on top of it. When it wasn't fixed the first time, they came back, and the complex even sent a cleaning crew to mop and wipe everything up afterwars. Yeah, I wish that didn't happen, but the situation was taken care of very promptly. The front office folks have always been friendly and helpful whenever I've had a question. I also enjoy not paying an arm and a leg for my dog to be here, just a flat deposit and no monthly pet rent. The dog parks are a big plus for him.

My wife and I have been living here for a few months now and couldn't be more pleased with the location, service, and price. Some things to know before you move in, the building are old. This doesn't mean dirty or run down, just historic. Wiring and plumbing are expected issues in old places. We moved in the middle of October so A/C wasn't as crucial to us as it would have been just a.month earlier. Still, when we had problems the complex took our issues seriously and they were fixed quickly. The grounds are superbly maintained. The staff are always sincere and pleasant to speak with at all times. I would recommend this place hands down.

I have been a resident of The District for two years. I have nothing negative to share but a whole lot of positives! The office folks are very attentive and friendly. Maintenance issues are addressed same day 99% of the time. My apartment is beautiful. It's so nice having a full size washer and dryer in the apartment! Utility bills are very reasonable. The property is very well maintained. The lawn is mowed frequently and when there is snow and/or ice I know the guys will be out with their snow blowers, most of the time before I have to leave for work. There is a super clean laundry facility and work out facility with lots of equipment- even a recumbent bike for us older folks! The pool is beautiful and well taken care of. The property is loaded with mature trees, so much that it seems like a park-like setting. I am super close to my job at Washington University. Jenna and Jesse (office manager and assistant office manager) are constantly looking for ways to make this community nicer and more attractive for the residents. Social activities are planned throughout the year which gives residents an opportunity to get together and know one another. I love this place!
