The pictures make it look nice, but they are from angles that DO NOT view the building from up close. Talk about a dump. whats worse is the people that occupy this duplex..... the armpit of society. High rent with all very outdated appliances. Fridge leaked water, kitchen sink couldnt dispense water at a normal pressure due to old cheap sink...

Fridge leaked water, kitchen sink couldnt dispense water at a normal pressure due to old cheap sink in general, dishwashed leaked water bolts were broken off and door wouldnt even close all the way . Maintenace crew walks into apt with keys even if youre home but couldnt get to the door soon enough for them being asleep and whatnot. Cant trust this business at all. They make the apartments sound good upon leasing with them but once you sign that paper what you get in return is what i stated above. Also their washer and driers in the laundry rooms dont even wash clothes completelt due to unmaintenaced/ ancient outdated washing machines. Managers are also rude. Lauren and the head manager mainly. The blondie Jessica , was always very polite though.

UPDATE: I've been here a couple years now. Management has changed hands a few times and I've had some issues with them telling me one thing but not following through. I finally gave up. In my earlier review, I had stated that the carpet was kind of new, but it wasn't. It had been cleaned before my arrival, but gradually, spots and stains began to surface. I would still recommend this place because generally, it's a nice place to live. However, I have been noticing lately, that we are starting to get some riff-raff in here.
I just moved in a week ago. My apartment is pristine. Fresh paint, new-ish carpet that had been cleaned and my storage door that didn't close all the way was fixed within the week. Lauren and Jessica have been extremely helpful to me during this process and I expect to live here for a very long time. As long as the rules are followed that are clearly outlined in the lease, there shouldn't be any surprises - for me or anyone else.

My tub has been peeling since I moved in and no one has ever done anything about it. Ive said my kitchen lights has been out for months, it has yet to be fixed. We just got the ugliest balcony that has the stamping from all the lumber showing and they just put a board up over some damage instead of fixing it.

Maintenance is an absolute joke, not responding to complaints, and or maintaining the grounds. neighbors are horrible as well, from slamming doors at four in the morning to stomping and playing loud music. if you are reading this review, do yourself a favor, avoid this place. There are plenty of places in oakville that you can rent from that are halfway decent. Not to mention fights break out at the "dog park" while the owners neglect to maintain their unruley animals. I will be glad when I move out

I absolutely loved living here for two years.. anyone who gives a negative review or complains probably did not live like an upstanding citizen. The staff is so friendly, kind, and flexible. I loved having the option of going to 3 different pools that were family friendly, the gym, or seeing the dog park. You really cant get any one bedroom apartment this big and completely updated for such a cheap price... and first months rent was $99 plus you get free cable with your apartment. Thats honestly a steal. All of my neighbors were so nice and respectful to one another. I know my apartment was far from perfect when I moved out but I cleaned it to the best of my ability moving out and received my full deposit back. You would honestly have to be a huge idiot who doesnt pay their rent on time, trash your apartment or be a total trouble maker to ever have an issue with anyone in the leasing office. The staff is so great!

Any time I had a maintenance problem (the worst being a light out), maintenance would come in 1-2 days to replace it. As with any complex, there are times where people are playing music in the courtyard or being loud in the pool. This is normally during day hours and never was loud enough to bother me. I maintained my apartment pretty well and I didn't receive any trouble getting my deposit back. As I was leaving, I know they were making updates to some of the apartments (because they are older apartments, but not bad in my opinion) and if I hadn't been moving out of state I would have definitely stayed!

People complaining about a little noise in an apartment complex should simply get a house, to me noise is inevitable. If its extreme and excessive noise I get it, but come on now you cant be too mad living in a multi-multi unit complex. But as far as the experience for me and my family its been phenomenal. Free cable, carpet cleaner every year and we were here when washer and dryers were in all units so we still have that as well so MAJOR PLUS. All in all Southfield is a great bang for your buck!!!!!

The best part about living here is the outstanding management! They are very flexible, and aren't just out to take all of your money.

However, the "manager" we met had a horrible attitude, I believe her name was Jen. She seemed pissed off and definitely showed it. If you don't like your job maybe you should leave. Rude staff is a no go for me. Look elsewhere that actually has a laundry room in the same building as you. Ridiculous

the women in the office treat you like your stupid. My apartment was dirty when I moved in and cleaner when I moved out.
They sent me letters about my dog being tied up outside for weeks without ever checking to see if it was true because it wasn't. Then when I complained about being harassed the lady lied to me and told me they sent everyone a letter. I know several people who live there and this was a lie.
