Very nice building and apartments. One Star because I paid a deposit to be on the waiting list. I ended up renting at another building and have been waiting over a month and half for the deposit to return. Each time I call I am told it will be any day. Fast to take my money, slow to give it back. Makes me questions there overall service.

The only good reason to live here is the location near the University. It has nice apartments, but the common areas got more and more damaged year after year, with few repairs. The central fire alarm goes off at least once a week, often waking you in the middle of the night. Elevators are often down and not working. Lobby smells come and go. A lot of undergrads live and party hear. You can often tell by the vomit they leave in the elevators, or beer cans. The garage "security" door is broke and left open for months at a time. The crime level in the neighborhood is too high. Was awaken by gun fire down the street one early morning (no joke, started a chase by police into Illinois, read about it later). The apartments have alot of wasted space since they were originally designed as office areas. The garage is often full from the managers selling spots to people going to local shows, therefore making residents park illegally in places that are not spots and block traffic in the garage. I loved my apartment when I moved in, now that I'm leaving here I think it would have been a better use of my money to find a location further away and commuted.
