Copper Pass Apartments is the first Passive House building and multifamily apartment complex in the state of South Dakota. Passive House design responds to local climate and conditions to maximize Residents’ comfort while minimizing energy used for heating and cooling. Copper Pass was constructed in 2018 with super-insulation, advanced window technology and a high level of air-tightness and ventilation systems that have proven to reduce temperature fluctuations, improve indoor air quality, and maintain optimal humidity levels within a home.
