When I first moved in, I was told about the free valet service for guests when they come to visit since the market has basically no visitor parking. And now I hear they made up some random excuse to change that policy saying it was our complaints as residence that we didnt like how congested the visitor parking area was. They said that due to the congestion, they changed the free valet service to a six dollar fee. Not to mention if you need your car in the middle of the night its a $20 fee. So now there solution to a overcrowded visitor parking area which only had about 30 spots to begin with for almost 1000 residence (no wonder it was overcrowded) is to charge us and our friends to park whenever a visitor comes over. And if you want a friend to come visit you at the marke their option is to park in a trashy neighborhood across the street which isnt safe to park in or safe to walk through to get to the apartment community. Or you can park in one of the hotels parking lots surrounding the Marke illegally and take a chance of getting towed. The Marke has left us with no options as far as parking unless youre willing to fork up the cash. So now that no one wants to pay the 6 bucks, all of the visitor parking spots are empty and never used unless we pay...ridiculous. Oh and I forgot to mention, your parking spots as a resident are stacked right in front of each other so if you parked first and your roommate parked after you but you are the first one to leave in the morning, youre going to need to wake your roommate up, get them to move their car just so that you can leave for work which is ridiculous and not a suitable parking set up. On top of that, everyone here saying that you can hear your neighbors at all times of the day or night are completely true. Im not sure why a marching band decided to move in above me But after multiple trips upstairs to ask them to be more quiet and the noise has continued, Ive decided its how thin the walls are not my neighbors fault. I complained to the leasing office about how loud people are above me at 2 AM almost every night which is not uncommon at this apartment community, they said that they Could fix this for me by allowing me to move to a new unit which I was happy to hear. What I WASNT happy to hear was the fact that I would have to forfeit my $500 security deposit and give them an additional $500 security deposit for the new unit I was moving into even though I had only been living here for two months. The Marke is the biggest thief.
