I called in to get some quotes on apartments and although its just out of my budget, the lady on the phone who helped me was so awesome. She was so friendly and patient with me and all my questions and concerns. I really hate when other apartments dont care to answer your questions or even care to at least TRY and be helpful. But not here, Sherry was so kind and knowledgeable! I felt all my questions were answered and even ones I didnt have. Truly the best experience Ive had apartment hunting.

I have lived in Avalon San Bruno for over 2 years now/2 leases. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. The amenities can not be beat. I have a puppy so having a dog park in the community and also meeting super friendly neighbors/dog friends is a real plus. Also, having a gym available during the covid lock down was very clutch.
The maintenance staff is always super responsive to any requests that we have had during our stay. The sales staff made the lease renewal process very easy and seamless.
We are moving away because we just purchased a house. However, this is definitely my favorite community that I have rented from. I would highly recommend this community to anyone.

Emily Fan, senior community consultant of Avalon is an exemplary "go to person" for our apartment concerns and needs. Our moving in was seamless and when we call her for some apartment concerns, she takes care of it right away. I will never forget when I was in the middle of washing my scrubsuit uniforms when I heard loud noises from the washer. Called maintenance and thought of letting her know also since I'm scheduled to work that day and I don't have anything to wear. She took time to go to my unit, I load up all my wet clothes in plastic bags and Emily opened one of the vacant apartment so I can resume washing/drying my uniform. Who would do that? I highly recommend this place.

Alavon in San Bruno is an excellent place to live. It is a beautiful community with a lot of amenities. For the time we lived in this apartment complex we really appreciated the front office and maintenance staff; everyone is professional and courteous. Melanie from the front office understood our needs and found us our apartment. She made the move-in simple and easy. The maintenance staff is great in particular Ashwa, he helped fix few items during our stay on time and with a smile. One time, we had accidentally left our freezer opened, that resulted in ice buildup in the freeze and loud annoying noise from the refrigerator. We were expecting some guests over that evening, so we called the emergency number. They sent Ashwa immediately, he knew exactly what went wrong, he came with the right tools and worked on the issue for 2 hours straight. It was not an easy fix, he had to melt the ice and make sure that the water does not seep to the floor causing further damage. He was brilliant, we were impressed with this professionalism, hard work and dedication. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and easy. We definitely recommend this place.

Updated review. Pros & Cons to everything in life.
First leak when i first moved in was due to water leak in another apartment. Ruined my carpet. The office & maint. were helpful in getting the repair done. It was an inconvenience since they had to come in several days and i have dogs. But they made up for it by crediting me a few days of rent. Second leak was from the air conditioner - nothing was damaged and maintenance fixed it. The third leak from the air conditioner was so bad it caused mold. I had a piece of furniture ruined along with a handful of items that were damaged - some not replaceable. They cleaned the carpet and fixed the leak. I was told that they would move the furniture but didn't. Very unimpressed how the dealt with the situation, especially since was a repeat issue.
Cons:
*Several packages stolen from the mail area.
*Cell Reception is horrible. Doesn't matter which provider.
*Call boxes don't always work, not reliable. I'm not sure why, but the doors seem to have an issue more times than not.
*Parking is HORRIBLE! handful of the spots are taken up with the property's dumpsters several times during the week .
Pros
**Location! Close to the 380, close to the city without being in the city. You can walk to stores / restaurants.
* CLOSETS - nice and big.

Been living here for 3+ years now and I can't complain! Prices are very competitive, community is constantly being improved upon with new additions, is super close to BART/Caltrain, convenient location next to Tanforan mall, etc.
With that said, what really keeps me here is the amazing service we get from the Avalon San Bruno office staff! In particular, Jennifer Smith has been more than instrumental in how happy our apartment has been here for the past couple years. Jen is always looking out for us! We feel very lucky to have someone like Jen and her office staff providing residents the VIP white glove treatment. Avalon San Bruno is a hidden gem just outside the city.

I have stayed in this community for 8 months. It is a nice community with good management and maintenence. Even though it is near the airport, but you can hardly hear the airplane noise with window closed. The only drawback is that the neighborhood is a little boring.
Emily Fan in the leasing office is great! She helped me a lot when moving in and internal transferring within Avalon community.
