I decided to take my review down because I have written a more detailed description of my experience living here on the Better Buisness Bureau website. This has been by far the worst experience I've had in my time living in any apartment community. I will admit it is quiet, location is good, and I've never really had a problem with any of the other tenants, minus the assigned parking hogs.
Ms. Lori Pingatore has always been kind and helpful whenever I walked into the office. She's not to blame for any of this, she handles leases and shows genuine concern when it comes to us, the tenants. I've seen many managers come and go. Some of whom I can't even remember their name because they weren't here long enough to remember them.
Reguarding the pictures I have put up along with my review. An A/C unit should never look like that, ever. Not only is it clogged with dust, mold, and rusting. It's a safety hazard. There signs of the unit shorting at the control module. You can see the blackened burn marks clearly because of all the dust and mold growing around it. I am not an expert on mold, but I do have an Indoor Air Quality certification and in the material I studied before my exam states this: "With even slight exposure to molds and spores, sensitive people may experience headaches, runny noses, skin rashes, nausea, sinus problems, memory loss, and coughs." All of which we have experienced at one point or another while living here. One of the things I hate the most is being lied to. How is someone going to stand there and tell me that what I see with my eyes and recognize by it's "musty" smell...isn't mold? Don't lie to me do something about it. I'm glad I took an HVAC Technician course, or I wouldn't have known any better. The proof is all right below in the pictures I've provided. I have written the review here and the one that I submitted to the Better Buisness Bureau, which will be posted in a few days for my family, whom I would do anything for. They shouldn't have had to suffer sweat, sticky, uncomfortable nights like they did on Christmas Eve and woke up to a humid, hot apartment Christmas morning. Hopefully the manager will have everything settled by the time New Year's Eve rolls around.
Update (01/06/17): They have replaced the air handler in my apartment. Thank you Rudy and Caesar for working late to get it running.
Update (01/13/17): Question...What is the point of the sign, as you drive onto the property that says, WARNING: ALL CARPORTS ARE ASSIGNED. ADDITIONAL GUEST PARKING AVAILABLE. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED...if what has been posted is not enforced? It doesn't matter if it's an hour or a day. A rule, is a rule, is a rule, is a rule! I called the after hours number and I was told the property did not leave instructions about how to handle the situation. I think I'll post more reviews across multiple renting sites to ensure the word is put out that this property is poorly managed.
My spouse put in a work order in November of last year to have the toilet looked at, because it was overflowing everytime it was flushed. It was looked at and worked on. The maintenance man told her he would be back to work on it again. Still waiting...
Update 02/07/17 Another visitor parked in my spot. Over night this time. Management doesn't enforce the towing of a vehicle if they park in our assigned spot after hours. A lease violation is a nonchalant way to get people to stop doing it. Reporting it to the office the next morning doesn't fix a damn thing. People can read, they just choose to play the ignorant card and do it anyways. Enforce what is posted and give the tenants back their piece of mind.
