I lived here for almost 2 years and had a great experience! I had some problems with appliances when I first moved in, but they were quickly taken care of when I submitted a service request form. I worked with Charles and Rae throughout my stay and they were always understanding and accommodating. Great location and competitive pricing compared to the surrounding area. The only reason I'm moving is because of graduation and my job is taking me out of state. I have and will continue to highly recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for an apartment!

This is my last week here at west oaks , and all though my stay has been great, I cannot rate 5 stars cs there are some issues like all apartments . However Jackie in the office is AMAZING , very polite , really wants to make sure every resident is welcomed . HOWEVER the blonde lady w/ short hair is very rude, she shows very low interest in her customers and has the worst attitude , she needs to go . Bad look for the apartment . The maintenance men are super friendly and polite . I do notice that in my entire stay the water filter in the fridge hasnt been changed , they just reset it . Im sure when I moved in it was only reset . THE WATER IS TERRIBLE AND SO DIRTY ..... dont drink the water . And there is an issue w/ car break ins at night , but thats self explanatory , lock your cars people . But like everything theres good and bad . So kudos to west oaks , thanks for the stay !

Let the pictures show you the reality of what is like living in this apartment complex,The dog park should not be an amenity as the broken fence fails to keep the dogs in the park.The management response to my request to fix the fence was the following:" This is not in our budget for this year" Where am I supposed to let my dogs run and play? Keep in mind I made the request on JULY 26/2017,So far nothing has been done.

I have lived here for almost three years and have renewed my lease twice so far. Having lived in two other apartment complexes in San Antonio - this has been my best experience so far. A major perk for me was that the washer & dryer are included, and the first floor apartments have hard wood in the living room (instead of carpet) The maintenance staff is great and always friendly. There are plenty of places for me to walk my dog, and I think for the quality of the apartment/area the rent pricing is right on target.

West Oaks apartments get an A for location, And A for scenery and living space. BUT that front office gets a big fat F. Charles is very rude, and might be a racist in a way that he talks down to me and my girlfriend. After we signed our lease and included our Emotional Support Animal because the apartments falsely stated that they are "pet friendly", Charles tells me my dog can't be there because he THINKS it's a Pitbull. He claims all my documents are fakes, doctors notes etc! I plan on filing a lawsuit really soon against the complex because I wouldn't have signed my lease if they would've told me they wouldn't accept a 45 lbs female boxer! Charles really discriminated and messed with the wrong guy & needs to get his customer service in order. You need to treat people with respect property manager.

For the past four years, I have lived at West Oaks Apartments. I had lived in two other northwest area apartment complexes prior to West Oaks, each for a much shorter period of time. I can honestly say, that West Oaks has suited my needs the best. It is convenient to major highways as well as shopping and entertainment options. I have had no probelms with management which has been responsive to my requests, and repairs are handled within a reasonable period of time. I live on the third floor of my building, and I have had no issues with noise, heating, or cooling. During the four years of my lease, I have had no security issues. Overall, my experience has been great.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! They will scam you out of money in ANY way they can! Management sucks and is very rude. Upper management ignores...

I have to say, this has been by far the best place I've lived at in my years of being around UTSA. Rae Gibbs is the best, and Charles is quick to help out with anything that's needed. Every time I've needed something fixed, maintenance was fixing the issue much quicker than I had even anticipated. Not to discredit anyone else's opinion, but I've lived at a few places within the past few years. This is the only place I've renewed my lease and plan to keep doing so.

Front office is your typical we won't work or help you. AC went out 3 times in 2 years, once in the middle of the summer for 4 days. Not to mention there "Eco friendly" lights in the kitchen that are suppose to last for years yet only last 2 weeks tops (5-7 bucks a pop to replace each bulb. Finally, they seem to fail to realize that there are many other complexs in the area but they don't mind to continue jacking up the rates each year. But, all good now that I'm out of there.

Management has been fantastic, from MONTHS before move in. Rae Gibbs, in particular, has made my transition from my old apartment to West Oaks a breeze. All concerns are dealt with promptly and environment is always kept VERY clean. Hands down the most pleasant apartment I've ever been in.

I've lived here for almost a year and have had a positive experience overall. The most important thing I can say about living here is that I feel safe. I am a single gal with a small child, so that is an absolute must have on my list. There have been a couple notices sent out of car break-ins but no car theft or apartment break-ins (knock on wood). I really wanted to live here because of the dog park; it's a lot of fun and has a wash station. I have even made a couple of good friends from going. The apartment is lacking on community social events, so I feel like the dog park kind of makes up for it. The best advice I can give on the parking situation is to look at the community map before leasing and you can clearly see which buildings have parking and which do not. I live in a corner of the complex and have plenty of parking options, but if you live in the front or middle, you'll probably have to walk. I am only moving because since these apartments are in the UTSA/USAA corridor, they can charge a little bit higher rent and I found a better deal elsewhere. Yes, there is no printer in the business office and still no package service and a couple of other petty things but I do not feel like they warrant a whole star being taken off because there are way more important things to consider (like safety, maintenance and customer service which I feel are all above average). Overall, I would recommend.

My husband and I miss the previous staff...they were awesome, I recently went in the office and nobody looks happy to be there...this place has gone downhill since they took over. They also removed the printer from the office for residents to use which makes no sense to me...the only complex I know in san Antonio that does this???? I read on YELP that they don't take packages anymore...I would NOT recommend this place to anyone anymore!! We can't wait to get out of here!!! They've also been fixing their roads for months, their gates are always open and haven't been fixed...we are over it!

The apartments were very clean when we moved in, the front desk was knowledgeable on the questions that arise when moving into a new apartment . They were friendly and good management, also the maintenance crew was very helpful in getting things done around the apartment . Best one in the surrounding area.

I don't have high expectations for apartments and I'm only here for a short while until I find a house. Even with relatively low expectations, this place fails to meet them. The good: The apartments are relatively new and well insulated. It's fairly quiet and even though the "free" spaces are squeezed by the covered spots you have to pay extra for, the parking isn't as bad as some complexes I've seen. The bad: Maintenance will come promptly when you turn in a service request and either call the problem fixed without fixing it or say it isn't broken. Case in point, my dryer hasn't worked yet in the three months I've been here. I'm on service call #5 and it's obvious that they need to clean out the exhaust line in the wall but they either say it's working the way it should or they try to clean out the lint screen in the dryer itself. I leave messages for management to call me and they never do. There's always new residents signing leases whenever I go into the office so I suppose management doesn't really care so long as their vacancy rates stay low. I feel bad for folks who move in once things start to wear out.

Apartments are very nice from the inside but things started falling apart a couple of months after we moved in. Very nice looking but I think cheaply made. Nice and quiet, no annoying children running around and private. Great location and management is nice and helpful.
