This is my 3rd Apartment I have rented out, and this will definitely be my last. I can not believe how smooth the entire move-in process was, how friendly and welcoming both managers were to my family, and how professional their maintenance crew are! It is such a blessing to be here and honestly can't find anything other than an excellent place to be in. Highly recommend to everybody!

Straight to the point: I'm currently on my second year at Landera Apartments and I can say with no hesitation that I will gladly stay here hopefully for a few more years. Rather that focusing at the paint or age or anything on the surface, I want to commend the staff. I'm not a big fan of leaving reviews in general, but every now and then, when someone deserves praise, I think they should receive it. Both office as well as maintenance crew have always been diligent and accommodating, whether it is a simple thing like lending me a ladder because a lightbulb is too high, or more serious issues, they've always delivered. Last Saturday was no exception, and perhaps one of the times I was most pleased and impressed. My AC stopped working around 6:30, and I assumed that on a Saturday evening it would be highly unlikely to get this sorted out, however I figured I would still contact the office and at least leave a message so they hopefully could take care of it the following Monday. To my surprise, not only did I get to talk to an actual human, but two hours later my AC was up and running. This was no small feat, since it was 93 degrees inside and I was seriously considering going to buy a portable AC unit when one of the guys stopped by to check and confirmed he had actually bought and replaced the main motor outside, without even disturbing me for a minute. Again, all this within two hours, and yes, at no additional cost to me. So, would I recommend Landera and continue to live here? Absolutely.

I have to be honest, although I did not become a tenant of this place I thought it'd be best to still share my experience. The first thing that I noticed was that they kept the grounds pretty clean. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. We viewed the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom that was available. The apartment was finished and I was told that housekeeping had already cleaned the apartment. However, the refrigerator wasn't very clean, there was a lot of dust above it, I saw a lot of dead bugs behind the blinds in the living room windows, the bathroom tile was still dirty and had mildew, the knobs for the sink and tubs where rusty, there was a scratch on one of the tubs as well as one of the sinks that they painted over and it was very evident because the paint didn't even match. And there was a huge roach that was dead behind the toilet in the bathroom. That was enough for me to pass. If that was the best they could do in terms of presenting a unit for leasing to a prospective tenant, then they're going to have to do a lot better because that unit did not look like it was cleaned at all. To charge $1,000 for that is ridiculous. I simply paid $100 more for a luxury apartment. So I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I do recommend that this property renovates their units because they are clearly outdated and in need of a serious facelift if they're going to charge at that rate.

I lived here at Landera apartments many years ago and I must say that they are very nice, very quiet and in a convenient location. It is close to 410 and 1604. Living there was a great experience for me. The office staff always extremely helpful and the maintenance team always came as soon as I called. I also enjoyed that throughout the year they have events for the residents. I definitely recommend Landera to all my friends. -AVI H

We live for 1 year in these apartments, and I want to thank the administration and the workers, for all the help they gave me this year, it is a very quiet and pleasant place to live. Thank you Maricela and Nancy for making my life easier and more enjoyable, you are wonderful human beings. Happy 2017 and many blessings to all. This was a quick move for us because we were moving from WA state and were trying to find a place before our household goods arrived. The staff is super friendly and can be helpful; Nancy was really nice. That is the extent of positive accolades for this place. We weren't able to see the actual apartment because it hadn't been cleared yet; we saw the model apartment, it's very cute and will fool you! Our apartment was so old and hadn't been updated in years...which was obvious by the layers of paint on the walls (painted over hair), fixtures and extremely old carpet. Carpet edges with nails that poked through them and hurt your feet when going from room to room. The smoke detector literally fell off the ceiling the first day we moved in. I put in a work order, it was never fixed during the year we lived there. My hubby's SUV was broken into within the first week of living there. The toilet(s) constantly ran (they were quite old). The front facing of my stove nearly crushed my feet on Thanksgiving when I was baking. This apartment was a major safety hazard! The icing on the cake was when I went on vacation to FL for the birth of my granddaughter. I was gone two weeks, my car was parked at the front of the complex in front of the main office, next to Blanco (the main road). When I returned my car had a huge dent on the passenger side! It had been in an accident (while parked next to one of the many designated long term tenant parking spots). I reported it to the office and got an "Oh well, hope your insurance will cover that." Obviously, it was time to go! I was spending tons of money in deductibles, allergy shots (due to the really old carpet & uncleaned ventilation system). It was worth it to pay a few hundred more dollars to move into a place that's 10x better not even a mile down the street. And it's gated here, no more worrying about those auto insurance deductibles.**Look elsewhere**

Your vehicle is not safe here!!! My vehicle was stolen last month and has been broken into several times. Talking with other residents I'm not the only one. Management says there is a "Courtesy Officer" but he/she has yet to be seen or patrol the community! Management is very rude and is not fair to current or long-time residents when renewal time comes around, offering specials only to people they may like, not all.... I do not feel safe here and will not be renewing my lease!
