I had to make a google account specifically so I could leave a review for Solara Apartments. To start I would not reccomend this place to anyone for multiple reasons, many of which have been stated in the reviews below. I lived in these apartments from April 2017 - October 2017. The best part of my lease was the fact that it was only 6 months long. The apartments were awful, in the 6 months that I occupied my apartment the building flooded 3 times. It constantly smelled of wet, damp dry wall. The apartment itself flooded twice and I had to submit multiple support tickets before they finally fixed the tenants bathroom in the apartment above. Cockroaches are a constant roommate, regardless of how clean you keep the apartment. As well as junkies, tweekers, drunks and homeless. They will live in the halls of the complex for free, but I had to pay almost $900 a month for a basement apartment that didn't even have a window AC unit. Management and staff is extremely unprofessional. There have been 2 changes of management within the past year or so (once right before I move in, in April, and then another change of management around January 2018), however none of the office staff has changed. They are all extremely rude and will treat you as if helping you is an inconvenience to their work day. I would not recommend Solara apartments to anyone. The prices are comparable to the rest of the Salt Lake area, except you will have to deal with bed bugs, cockroaches, junkies, homeless and worst of all management. If you are looking for a place to live in the Salt Lake area, I would honestly recommend sleeping in your car a few extra days in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and finding somewhere that won't cause you more problems than it is worth. I am still dealing with them 8 months after my lease expired. That's longer than I had lived there. What an absolute joke.
