South Waterfront Neighborhood Summary

South Waterfront is the newest neighborhood in Portland and is just beginning to form its own personality. The majority of this neighborhood consists of new residential buildings, office hi-rises, and OSHU resource buildings. Because of this, this neighborhood is a great option for young professionals. However, it is also located quite close to both PSU and OHSU, so this could be a smart option for students as well. If you’re looking for gorgeous river scenery, you’ve come to the right neighborhood. The waterfront vistas provided by the Tom McCall Waterfront Park are incomparable. Be sure to visit during the spring to see the cherry trees in full bloom! Residential options mainly consist of new condos and apartment buildings.
