The building is very intimate and quaint. Not too many units, so you really get to know everyone well. Thick plaster walls obscure all but the loudest sounds. Having previously lived in multiple different apartment buildings in both Pittsburgh and New York, Anna the leasing manager is very attentive, and handling the process with ease, even in the midst of the Covid Crisis, but Eugene the Maintenance Coordinator is what really separates the experience of living at Negley Court from other buildings. The unit I am in had not been occupied in a few years, and was in need of updating. When I reached out about renting at Negley Court, within less than 2 weeks, Eugene sprang into action, renovating the entire apartment from floor to ceiling. All new flooring, kitchen counters and appliances, bathroom, fresh paint everywhere, perfectly appointed molding and fixtures. The day I went to move in, he was carefully putting in the finishing touches, so it was absolutely perfect for me. He was in constant contact over the next few days to adjust some minor things and make sure that everything was just right. The window shades were ever so slightly off, Eugene custom ordered a second set to make sure it was flawless. The level of craft and detail exceeds that of many very expensive luxury homes. Anytime I have reached out about maintenance, (which is very infrequent because everything is new), it has been handled in the same day, often within the same hour. I think you would be hard pressed to live somewhere where the management is more attuned to the residents needs.
