Big hassle doing credit and income check.This building got bed bugs, exterminators sprayed 6 times in the past 15 months. The 440 Jefferson Ave side got many Nepalese and smells like curry. The new lease will take your security deposit with charges examples being clean range $100, clean refrigerator $100, clean cabinets $75, clean floor under behind appliances $75, replace kitchen floor $150, clean bathroom $100, clean toilet $25, clean tub $50, shampoo carpet $100, replace carpet $17 square yard, repair small wall hole $30, wash prime seal walls $40 per room, remove wallpaper $100 per wall, remove wallpaper border/stickers $50 per wall, replace fixtures at cost. The list is long and absurd examples clean ceiling fan or light fixtures $25, clean windows $20 a window, extermination $60, removal of furniture $50 per piece, lift furniture left outside into dumpster $50. A lot of these jobs take 2 people 5 minutes. And no air conditioner comes with the apartment they will throw away any ac left at move outs. Well my kitchen tiles were scraped up, bathtub rusty broken and dirty, old refrigerator running most the day, bathroom tiles coming off floor, carpet not new like realtor said but newly steam cleaned, all at move in. There was 2 broken down cars in the lot for 9 months, probably longer. This building does monthly leases. There is a pothole in the parking lot that needs patched and the bricks need mortar by the first back door. The neighborhood is much safer than the north side of Pittsburgh. And there are grocery stores in walking distance. The first time I took a bath water leaked into the basement due to the overflow drain switch thing being loose and set off the high water alarm. The first time I used the oven it smoked and set off the smoke alarm only in my apartment. The back steps are almost always dirty and a trail of dirt is going down the hallway carpet. I only got 6 duplex receptacle plugs and 1 single receptacle plugs in my efficiency. One duplex plug is above the kitchen sink. This building has a horrible design. The windows are all shaped wrong for a normal sized air conditioner. Only got 4 windows and one is tiny and above the bathtub. The window screens don't lock, they slide open, perfect for thieves to enter in 2 seconds. Even the first floor has steps to enter. Clean the steps and vacuum the halls management.
