I lived at Beacon Hill for 2 years and I loved it! The grounds are well kept by maintenance personnel and any issues with the unit they fix in a timely manner so you don't have to deal with leaks or stopped up toilets or other inconveniences for very long. They are very prompt in servicing your needs. The property maintenance guy Cedric is a delightful & very understanding person who's extremely hard working. I see him all over the grounds tending to everyone and their needs. The units are beautiful and well maintained. There was a slight odor in one of the rooms when I moved in due to an older gentleman who lived here before me who was sickly. I initially complained about the smell but was told that in a couple days after it airs out it will be just fine. Well because the apartment was gorgeous otherwise, I saturated the carpet with 2 cans of carpet fresh all over the floor in that room and let the window open for some ventilation and surprisingly after two days, when I finally vacuumed it all up, the smell was completely gone just like I was told. Other than that the rest was history. I would say to ANYONE MOVING IN to be upfront about what you like or dislike when you first move in and be reasonable like I was since you're getting such a BIG BANG for your buck! The staff is very caring and professional so they won't blow you off. Instead, they will cater to your needs as best as they can. Another point worth noting, I wasn't used of not having a washer and dryer inside my unit, so I had to get used to that piece. However, since my unit was on the first floor with the laundry room two steps away I almost felt like royalty so my initial discontent with it was alleviated when I realized I was in a good location next to the laundry room. I believe most people just went to a local laundromat to keep down confusion since there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer shared between 6 units in each building. I never really had to deal with waiting too long to use the laundry room on the two ocassions that I did have to wait. I myself went to a local laundromat sometimes if I wanted to do more than 1 load at a time, however, most of the time I used the laundry room here. If you're dead set on having a washer and dryer in your unit this is not the place for you, but if you are okay with using the facilities here just keep some quarters handy. These washer and dryers are only $1.25 to wash and $1.00 to dry and they're large enough for most loads. I actually saw this as a savings compared to the laundromats where they're more expensive. All in all, they're wonderful about keeping the grounds immaculate so the community is cozy, quaint & inviting! If you go walking outside around the community/neighborhood the views are breathtaking and AWESOME! I promise you'll pat yourself on the back and brag when or if you have guest come over because the community is simply GORGEOUS! I hated to leave but I'm in the military so I had to go. One last thing, there is a bus stop right outside the front entrance so if you have problems with your transportation or worse yet, don't have transportation, then you're in luck since we're located right on the bus line which is a HUGE convenience. I never had to use it but I see lots of people walking to that bus stop and waiting for the bus going to and from work or school etc. The BONUS here is the sweet little elderly people who reside here in the assisted living complex on the grounds. They are very friendly and sweet so I loved chatting with them at times and seeing them walk around to get some exercise. Well I personally just love senior citizens because when they're around usually the community is more welcoming and the atmosphere is much more respectable. I'm not hardly a senior citizen but I just adore them. I highly recommend these apartments to anyone who definitely want luxury at an affordable price. I feel I got a lot of bang for my buck so I'm grateful to write this review. Have a happy stay if you decide to live here. You WON'T regret it...I promise!!!
