I've lived here for a few months now, and I have to say that every complaint of mine has been dealt with swiftly and professionally. The staff here is very friendly and has been nothing but helpful. Whether the issues were fees or issues with the air conditioning systems, they were taken care of and done so with a smile. The maintenance staff is friendly and efficient too.
Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the way I've been treated here and with the quality of the facilities. While it can get a little loud on Friday and Saturday nights, they're usually quieted down by 1 or 2am which is fine with me, and barring a few incidents the noise is low enough that it can be dealt with by using a noise-canceling headset. (The internet can be iffy sometimes but that's not their fault, you can blame MaxxSouth and Airwave for that)
If you read the lease and know what your rights and responsibilities are as a resident, aren't an entitled jerk when things go wrong, and talk to the staff with the respect they are due (they're just trying to earn a paycheck, they're human too), then in my experience they go above and beyond to make sure that your experience is a good one. (The pool is pretty damn nice too btw) If you treat them like they're subhuman corporate stooges, blatantly and willfully ignore the rules, or act like you're entitled- like an unfortunate number of residents here do- I've found they'll throw the book at you (as they should). Read the lease. Understand the rules and follow them. If you do, you'll be more than happy.
They've earned this five star rating, no ifs ands or buts about it. I have very high standards and I almost never give five stars, but I'll be damned if there is a better group of people out there working in housing here in Oxford. I'm glad that I'll be living here for the next year- as I might be transferring, it might be my last one here at Ole Miss- and I wouldn't have it any other way.
