My boyfriend and I moved in several months ago & have been nothing short of happy. The apartment complex is very quiet and the people that live here are respectful. When we went to look at apartments the leasing office was very helpful & tenative to our quick move in time. The apartment is in a great location & right by the highway. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice apartment that isn't outrageously expensive.

Horrible place to live!!!!!!! The management there is piss poor! The hiring process was probably oh you've had a job before great you can run these apartments. It's a sad ass joke. they are not caring for there people none what so ever! Rules are made up as they go. Getting notes on your doors about policy's that are no where to be found on the lease you sign... The new maintenance crew's do poor work and don't care about anything. Could go on for days! I wouldn't recommend this facility! Only good thing is the gas station at the bottom of the hill that is convenient.

Paid a full deposit, had everything set, both my fiance and I had our old apartments rented out as we were moving and what do we hear 2 days before we're supposed to pick up the keys? "oh we made a mistake, its not going to be ready for another month" meaning I paid all that money and now have no where to move, 2 days before I was supposed to move in. WORST APARTMENTS EVER, RUN FOR THE HILLS, SUE'S AN IDIOT WHO CAN"T EVEN FIGURE OUT MOVE IN DATES

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS TO A BUM ON THE STREET. THE STAFF IS RUDE AND STUPID CAN'T EVEN DO THEIR JOBS. THAT'S WHY IN THE TWO YEARS I LIVED THERE WE HAD 4 DIFFERENT PROPERTY MANAGERS. I HAD TO MOVE FROM BUILDING BECAUSE OF BED BUGS AND LOUD POT SMOKING PEOPLE IN MY BUILDING WHEN I WAS PREGNANT YOU CALL THE FRONT OFFICE 99% OF THE TIME ITS SUSAN WHO ANSWERS AND WELL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANNA HERE BUT THEN DO NOTHING AT ALL. NOT ONLY THE MAINTENANCE NEVER ANSWERED AND IF YOU LEFT A MESSAGE THEY SHOW UP AND COME IN YOUR APARTMENT WHEN YOUR NOT HOME AND TRACK DIRT AND MUD IN EVERYWHERE AND DON'T CLEAN IT UP LEAVES IT FOR YOU. ALSO THEY WILL COME IN AT 7AM AND IF YOU DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR THEY JUST WALK IN SAYING MAINTENANCE AND THEY DONE THIS TO ME WALKING IN WHILE I WAS ASLEEP SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME DOESN'T HELP THAT THEY NEVER SEND THE SAME MAINTENANCE MAN SO ITS A DIFFERENT PERSON EVERY TIME. ALSO IT'S EMBARRASSING TO HAVE PEOPLE OVER BECAUSE YOU TRY TO GO TO THE POOL AND ITS EITHER DIRTY, OR PEOPLE ARE HAVING 10 FRIENDS OVER FOR A POOL PARTY AND THEIR ALL TRYING TO DROWN EACH OTHER IN THE POOL PLAYING CHICKEN DRUNK OF THEIR ASSES. BTW AND THEY HAVE THEIR KIDS WITH THEM. ALSO WHAT MADE ME END HIT MY BREAKING POINT AND MOVE THE HELL OUTTA THERE BREAKING MY LEASE, WAS WHEN A PREGNANT WOMAN WAS SMOKING A CIG IN MY HALLWAY AND I WAS WALKING OUT WITH MY NEWBORN I ASK HER TO SMOKE OUTSIDE AND SHE THEN TRIED TO FIGHT ME AND OF COURSE I DIDN'T HIT HER CAUSE SHE WAS PREGNANT BUT HER 5 WHITE HOMIES CAME OUT OF THE HOUSE ACTING ALL HARD AND GANGSTER AND STARTED TAUNTING MY BOYFRIEND SCREAMING THE N WORD AT HIM OVER AND OVER AND SAYING THEY WERE GOING TO SHOOT HIM, ME AND MY SON. WHEN THE COPS GOT CALLED MY BOYFRIEND GOT THE TICKET CAUSE THE PREGNANT CHICK TOLD THE OFFICER HE HIT HER....WTF!!! NOT ONLY THAT THE APARTMENT MANAGER WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE THE WHOLE TIME AND SAID NOTHING WHEN THE OFFICER ASKED HER SHE SAID NO COMMENT WTF!! WENT TO COURT AND ASKED FOR A STATEMENT ON THAT GIRL CAUSING PROBLEMS BEFORE WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND SHE REFUSED..WTF!!! I TOLD EMILY THE MANAGER THAT JUST STOOD THERE THAT I WAS MOVING OUT WITHIN THE WEEK BECAUSE MY SONS LIFE WAS THREATED AND SHE STATED THAT WAS FINE AND THEN TODAY I GET A BILL OF OVER $500 WTF!!! FOR WHAT! I CALL THERE TO GO OFF AND OF COURSE THEY HAVE A NEW PROPERTY MANAGER WHO HAS NO IDEA WHY I GOT A BILL ERRRRR THIS PLACE GETS ON MY NERVES I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW EVERYTHING I HAVE WENT THRU THERE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO.. PLEASE DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!! RANT OVER!!

I have lived at monroe terrace for almost 3 years. The company that owned this place before the current staff was pretty bad (I don't know about them being as bad as the below review) but since this property was taken over by village greene there are a lot of changes and things are a lot better. The whole place is cleaner and when I call about something wrong with my apartment they come on the same day and it's fixed. This place is a lot better, which is good because I was considering moving out but the location is so close to where I work and with the new staff I will be staying for a long time.

This place is HORRIBLE! The ghetto of Monroe. Staff is lazy and RUDE! Thiefs running this place. NO PARKING EVER AVAILABLE because there are people parking 4 or 5 different cars with different state plates in our parking area. You can not walk in the yard that is provided because it is FULL OF DOG FECES! They enforce pet rules on tenants that they have problems with and let the others slide by without paying a penny extra for their dogs that are supposedly not allowed on the premises. The laundry area and the provided walkway to the outdoors is NASTY covered with nasty hair, cigarette butts, and 7 year old news papers along with other garbage. There is a scent of SEWAGE on the whole property. Lazy staff acts like you are inconveniencing them when you put in work orders (THIS IS YOUR JOB AND WHY YOU ARE GETTING PAID!!!!) Complained about issues several times and nothing has EVER been done about them. They leave molded out ceiling tiles missing and just replace what was damaged without ever fixing the REAL issue and finding out what has caused this leak.. Have had a leaky washer for over 2 or 3 months that has still not been fixed and have had made calls in over 3 or 4 times on this issue. Noisy neighbors above and below, hearing screaming children from as early as 9 in the morning to 1 or 2 am. Have heard gunshots outside. Just plain disrespectful! Go ahead and call the office right now and what you will get is some RUDE guy answering the phone after the 3rd or 4th time you try to call and he answers the phone like he is better than you and does not care what you have to say! This place is ridiculous! We paid our rent every month for 6 months and after the sixth month they rack up all of these mysterious charges once we accused their employees of blatantly stealing from us in an effort to get us to LEAVE the premises. DIRTY, NOT WORTH THE MONEY, RUDE/ LAZY STAFF, just among the reasons NOT to live here! If you've done some searching around and this is the best place you could find.. THINK AGAIN! Can get a much better place for even less money where you will receive RESPECT! Also when looking at the apartment place the main office people will assure you that all the apartments get fresh paint AND new carpet installed. We came early on our move in date (after getting the word that the other apartment that we were supposed to move into had BED BUGS!) to find some middle aged nasty lady cleaning our apartment smoking cigarettes WITH HER BABY PRESENT! While her 13 year old son painted our walls! Not to mention there was no new carpet installed and the drips of paint in EVERY room from their horrible attempt to get our apartment done as quickly as possible. We also found legos, bird feathers, clumps of hair and other trash in our heater vents and countless other nasty items underneath of the oven! This place is not thorough with their cleaning OR maintenance and disrespectful on top of that!
