I have lived here for a year now. The property and its amenities are beautiful but apart from the very problematic parking the worst part about The Emery is its leasing staff (one gentleman in particular).
Yes, you will have a great tour that will make you think theyre wonderful but truth be told I have had several moments where this particular staff member has been incredibly rude to me and my father, who has a language barrier and cant fend for himself appropriately. Aside from the staff members obvious attitude, and the aggressive tone when addressing a simple parking misunderstanding, his inability to have some sense of humanity is not a welcoming feeling.
My father is a 60 year old man not very familiar with technology and just this week happened to be locked out. He came to the door and asked if he could be let in, this particular staff member refused to let him in and told him to use the code. My father confused said I dont have a code, could you open for me? I live here he said no you have to download the app. He continued to refuse to help and went about doing his tour with two people. It takes minimal compassion to open a door especially to a face he could recognize. If it wasnt because other residents walked in at that particular time my father wouldnt have been able to get past the main entrance to the place he LIVES.
All in all, I would not recommend living here if the staff continues to be this way. The uncomfortable parking situation is something that can be more adaptable too (although there is not enough visitors parking for so many residents) but if you don't like to feel that you are not welcome when you walk through the door I would NOT recommend.
