I would not recommend ever even considering working with JEK. Not only does management not know what they are doing and are EXTREMELY unprofessional they will harass you for things you have not done and ignore the problems you bring to their attention. While living at The Ridge I got an emotional support animal who was the sweetest dog you would ever meet. Any issue they would come to us with him we would have either remedied the issue before they said anything to us or would fix it right away. I had talked to other residents in the building about him as he does have a slight separation issue, but at the time I was only gone for 3-4 hours a day, she kindly let me know that he is no problem and maybe barks for 10 minutes and then he quiets down. knowing this made me feel better and I still would walk him and play fetch with him so he would be tired while I was gone. We had gotten no notice of complaints or anything. Then their maintenance started to be in our building ALL day blasting music, screaming down the halls to each other, and doing major construction on a room. I had my water shut off 7 times without the REQUIRED 24 hour notice. Which management didn't even know they were REQUIRED to do when shutting off utilities or else it is know as CONSTRUCTIVE EVICTION. Every time I found out our water was off I was in the bathroom. Now i am sure i am not the only one who really likes to wash their hands after going to the rest room. but according to maintenance i was still able to flush so he didn't see the problem. Maintenance had also drove over the drain pipe next to our window and instead of fixing the issue just set the supplies next to where it should actually be. Which in turn has caused significant damage to the building to the point of it sinking and cracking all the way up the building. All management had to say when we would bring this to their attention was that they got complaints about out dog barking and had maintenance confirm this, When asked for the time of the complaints they could not answer which we found suspicious seeing how he wasn't in the apartment all day and I was gone for only a few hours. We stopped leaving him alone and would bring him to doggy day care, yet apparently they still received complaints of him barking.... However our dog was not the only one we have heard or seen on the property they still said it was our dog that was ruining this "tranquil" environment. Their definition of tranquil must be hearing sex a few buildings down, trailer park noise, drug deals constantly, getting threatened in the parking lot, the loudest most inconsiderate maintenance ever, and staff that doesn't know the laws then you have your home with JEK. Which still has not even contacted us about our security deposit which by law they have 21 days to return it or else we can sue when we moved out almost a month ago. Will be calling them today. So if you want to risk it all make sure you know your renters rights first.
