Have lived here for about 4 months. The units themselves are beautiful and the grounds are well maintenanced, plus the amenities bolster the community feel. I've personally had to contact the leasing staff for assistance with multiple questions or concerns and each time they listen carefully to what you're saying and are willing to help you resolve any issue. I once had trouble locating a package and Melissa immediately dropped what she was doing to help me search for it. The leasing staff is super friendly and the apartments themselves are a delight to live in.

I had written a review of GML when I first moved in, which was truthful. I was not happy with the management and how I was being treated following some water damage. Now, however, with new management and much much better customer service I would highly recommend living here. I have lived here over 2 years and the current staff does an incredible job of catering to residents needs and planning wonderful events. They give us so much free reign of the courtyard and trust us with the amenities. Highly recommend GML.

I lived at Germantown Mill Lofts for a year and that was all I could take. It was a horrible experience in every way. All the negative reviews you will find online, both on this site and others, are all true and reflective of the experience endured by most residence. The noise issue is absolutely unbearable at times. This causing me to stay at friend's houses or hotels anytime I needed to ensure a good night's sleep. Both the property developer and on-site management are well aware of the wide spread problem but have done nothing and continue to do nothing to improve/correct the matter. They simply continue to lose tenants at the end of a single year's lease and seek out replacements trying to ensure they stay at a reasonable occupancy rate. While I respect that this is a business, it is clear they care nothing about people. They are only concerned with money and trying to preserving the reputation they think they have in the community. There are many, many other new and beautiful apartment communities in the city - each have real "amenities," are in areas far more interesting and safer than Goss Avenue, and with prices that more accurately reflect the cost of "luxury" living in Louisville, KY (not overpriced.) I would recommend checking them out instead. Do not make the same mistake as I did with GML, being pulled in by the fascinating history or highly misleading aesthetics of the building. You will regret it!
