So I originally had a 1-2 star rating for these apartments due to the insane water bills residents were receiving. However, after a recent change in management it looks like they've finally brought peace of mind to the tenants as water is now at a fixed rate depending on your apt size. Our water bill went from being $150+ to $60 a month now. This I can live with. Now if only we could get KU up in here for even more savings LOL. 4 Stars! Great staff.

I just renewed my lease on my apartment this month. I LOVE this place. I have live here for 11 years, wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The staff are superb! They are friendly, helpful, and just all around great people...I deal mostly with Kimberly, who again, is fantastic! They treat me like family. Others say that it is too expensive for what we have here....well, I'm here to tell you it isn't! The neighborhood is fantastic. There are parks nearby, stores, eating establishments. It's far enough from downtown, but close enough too. I feel very secure here. Gated community, swimming pool, fitness center. The apartments are spacious, wood burning fireplaces, quiet!! Yes, you can find less expensive apartments, but you won't get the service you get here. I could go on and on, but I'll stop now. John Green

This place has had constant bug issues, constant maintenance issues due to cheap "renovations", and they raise their rent whenever they want to. I have had nothing but issues with this apartment including hearing domestic violence and having my car broken in to and my tires slashed. Stay away from this place at all costs.

Good luck getting out of your lease if you need to move out for some reason. You will pay thousands of dollars to do so. Drop box for rent? Non-existent. Pay a day late? Look forward to your $100 late fee. The Veridian is run by corporate, money hungry psychopaths.

Like others' similar posts, I encourage you NOT to live here! I had so many problems with the (lack of) responsiveness and rudeness from office staff. The majority of the staff are not helpful. Secondly, there is no accountability for poor pet behavior/pet owner behavior. Thirdly, their removing the dumpsters was the most ridiculous decision someone ever made! Not only is this incredibly inconvenient, the ongoing state of the trash compacter has to be an OSHA violation! It is disgusting and dangerous!! Finally, upon moving out, I felt "ripped off" with fee deductions from the deposit. But, I'm so happy to be out of there, I didn't have the fight in me any longer to challenge it. Again, save yourself the aggravation and move somewhere else!!

If you are even considering moving here, DON'T. I wish that I could give less than a star. Thankfully my boyfriend and I only have a few months left here because it continues to get worse every day. My biggest complaint - I do not feel safe living here. I cannot count the amount of times I have seen the police at this complex. A few weeks ago there were around 10 undercover cops that kicked the door in on an apartment in my building with riot shields for drug dealing. This morning around 6:30, I was walking to my car to go to work and there was a man crouched down hiding between to cars watching me. My car was also broken into earlier this summer. I don't know where they find these people but I would love to know how they afford the ridiculous rent here. Our water bill has been $90 a month since we moved in. We are two people who are rarely even home. When we contacted the staff they said "well that's just how it is there's something wrong with that building." Our electric bill is also insane because these building are so old and poorly insulated. Let's not forget to mention how pet friendly this place is, which is great except no one can clean up after their pets. I also witnessed a dog get attacked because its owner couldn't be responsible enough to keep it on a leash. Also, the whole complex smells like a dump because no one can take care of their trash. If I had wanted to live in an unsafe, disgusting community we would have moved into the hood paying a fraction of what we do. Please do yourself a favor and find another place to live because you will only regret living here and being sucked into the money trap that this place is.

Do not move here period. My girlfriend an I moved in and have regretted it more and more. There is limited parking for each building. People are to lazy to use the trash compactor correctly so it is disgusting with trash piled up infront of the door. Nobody picks up after thier pets so you don't want to walk in the grass maintenance doesn't keep dog poop bags readily available either tho and the court yards stink of dog poop and pee. Dogs are always loose and not on a leash and dogs have gotten into fights and nothing is done. The electric is insanely high because the apartments are so poorly insulated and the doors don't shut right. Water bill is $90 a month and when I asked for it to be checked out because there's no way 2 people used that much water I was told by the staff "I don't know what to tell you that's just what it is." All they care about is money and they don't care how they get it They keep bringing less than disirable people in to rent these apartments the guy above us has beaten up his girlfriend twice now, as I was getting home from work the other night I witnessed about 10 undercover officers preforming a drug raid and kicking in the apartment door across the court yard from us. The police are always being called and this morning my girlfriend was walking to her car to go to work and a guy was hiding behind a car when she walked by in the dark and was watching her she ran to her car and he then got into his vehicle and left after she saw him. There is also always something broke in the apartment usually the plumbing or something to do with the toilet and it usually is just cobbed together temporarily. It's just getting worse we can't get out soon enough. They don't even deserve 1 star.

I STRONGLY suggest for those considering Veridian as their next home to look elsewhere. I have absolutely hated it here since the moment I moved in. First of all, my car was broken into twice in the first month I lived here. Next, I've had plumbing issue after plumbing issue and the maintenance staff refuses to spend more than five minutes fixing anything, so their quick fixes never last. While they do provide a fairly quick response, I've asked for them time and time again to call prior to entering my apartment (so I can have my dogs put away) and they never do - then one of them had the nerve to complain to me about how my dog was behaving when I wasn't there! The office staff is often very unprofessional and rude - one of them sat there and argued with me for ten minutes about what my rent was, when all she had to do was check my lease to see that I was correct. I was livid over that! Also if you call with a maintenance request, they hardly ever put them in like they're supposed to. And they don't let anyone know about packages. My boyfriend had an important package delivered and he didn't know if was given to the office staff until he had ordered a new one. How hard is it to send an email or put a notice on a door?? Next, they've done away with every dumpster in the complex, except for the compacter way in the back, which is extremely inconvenient and it's disgusting in there. And finally - and this is my biggest issue with the place - is the neighbors. They are all incredibly rude and I've had horrible neighbor after horrible neighbor beside me. My current neighbors come in and out at all hours of the night, slamming their doors and screaming at each other. They smoke outside my window and the smoke comes right on in. I've been asked for rides around town and for cigarettes while walking into my apartment. They have constantly made me uncomfortable to live here. As for the other neighbors, no one ever picks up after their dogs (which was worsened by the lack of dumpsters to dispose of the poop), and people apparently don't know how to park. They leave their trash wherever and the only two recycling bins here are always filled with trash because they're too lazy to walk to the compactor. To be fair, the apartments are nice and I like the fireplace, but other than that I have been extremely unhappy here and I'm looking forward to my lease being up.

I love their new updates. My kitchen is very spacious and the counter tops are great. My husband and I recently moved in and love that the community is gated which made our decision easier because not a lot of places are gated. The office staff was helpful and defiantly made us feel welcomed.
