The main problem is the employees attempting to run the place. I had a problem with a neighbor, they were memorizing my schedule and not leaving me alone, so I asked to be moved to a different apartment on the opposite side of the complex to get away from him, they suggested I buy a doorstopper off of Amazon to protect myself. I have always paid the amount due online on the 1st of the month, and I yet I just was required to pay late fees because they did not charge me the proper amount online. Things are not properly explained to residents and they ultimately do not care.
Additionally, the apartment was built with shoddy workmanship. My shower never properly drained in two years of living here, despite them knowing of the issue. My door never sat snug in the door frame, so a lot of air/heat would be lost through those gaps, they came and looked at it and said nothing was wrong. The air conditioner is louder than an airplane taking off. The oven sets off the smoke alarm every time you open the door, simply from being used, even when just heating it up to a standard temperature, especially when trying to actually cook anything. No main light source is provided in the living room, there is a hole in my bedroom window screen, and the door to the porch has always had this strange residue. In the winter, my windows would freeze over entirely, to the point that if I let them go, there would be solid blocks of ice on the interior of the window, I inquired about this issue and they told me that that is typical in the winter (it's not, if a place is built to code, there should be no reason a tundra is forming on the INSIDE of your home). The popcorn ceiling had clearly been "repaired" numerous times, all with poor quality work, so you can see all 12 areas that have been worked on in the living room alone.
Ultimately, the rent is cheaper for a reason, but it is not worth living here.
