There are some hip joints a few miles off of campus if you’re craving some food. Landry’s Seafood and Steakhouse satisfies your need for red meat and seafood, they have a Canjur flair which adds to the experience. Rio Bravo Mexican Restaurant in New Iberia is a good addition to the growing list of Mexican restaurants in the area. Duffy’s Diner is also really nice if you just want a good sandwich while you’re in a rush to class. Apartment costs are very affordable in this area near campus. The average rent for a one bedroom hovers just above $600 per month, which isn’t terrible - especially if you’re sharing your one bedroom with one other person. Two bedrooms will set you back around $740 a month, and and three bedroom is just about $1100 a month. Mind you, these are just average prices - there are plenty of apartments that will have cheaper rent and be more affordable to you.
