I moved in northern heights when it was barclay apartments. Starting from the beginning. I was originally suppose to stay in a different unit but was told I was getting another unit because the renters of it decided to stay. After getting the keys I looked over the apartment and there was pee on the toilet and dead bugs on the windowsill. I called and informed them and it was cleaned up before I had moved my stuff in (felt like I shouldn't have had to call them to tell them the unit was dirty. It should've been cleaned before hand. I had a rolle polle issue which was resolved once they had the beetle people come out every so often. I also had issue with other bugs as well. Now that I sit here and think about it the bugs may have been coming through the floor in my closet. Around the time of when I first moved in it had poured of rain. Somehow my closet floor was saturated with water from the rain. I called the office to tell them about it. The maintenance man came out and put a fan blower on the ground to dry the carpet and mention something about the landscape outside. Well just a few weeks ago it was pouring rain again. And my closet floor was saturated with water AGAIN! Which ended up ruining my snow boots that I had in the shoebox. So of course I'm highly upset. Dude came out and placed fan blower on the carpet. They finally fixed that issue I believe because it no longer rains in my closet anymore. My lease is up at the end of this month. Back in July I received a letting stating my rent was increasing over $100 which is absolutely ridiculous. I went to the office to see what were the changes being made for the big jump and rent. They lady informed that everyone rent had increased even her own. Had I known that I would end up possibly have to pay $800+ for rent I would have never moved here. I'm really overwhelmed with trying to move. I work full time and go to school part time. And I work crazy hours so it's hard to find someone to help me because when I'm at work they're off and Vice versa. When I moved into northern heights my intent was to move once I was ready for a house but unfortunately things don't always go as plan. I would not recommend this place but I would trash it either. The people in the complex are nice, I like valet trash, cleaned parking lot good when it snowed, it's peaceful, and they do little monthly events.
