Amber Ridge are decent apartments and affordable for me especially being a single mom. The 3 bedroom rate is great for this area and the school district is a good one. I am in close proximity to many stores which is so convenient for me. In case you are wondering or are stereotypical, NO Amber Ridge is not the projects nor do they accept Section 8. It is very diverse here with people of all backgrounds which to me is great. Management is prompt regarding all issues I have had and the people in the office are nice. My only issue here is parking...its hectic and its ridiculous and some people have tried to sabotage my vehicle. But one idiot does not make this complex bad.

When I first moved in... the management was awful. They seemed to be very scatter brained. They didnt seem to get things done I needed - it took at least a week for maintenance to come out and do something simple like fix an outlet. But now with new management - they are doing much better. The apartment its self IS old, but they do very good on fixing any problems NEXT DAY. It s very spacious and the actual property is very nice an spacious with plenty of grass for dogs to roam.
As long as updates continue, Id recommend this community. It does, and has always, felt very safe. I walk my dogs sometimes at 2AM if they need to go potty and I feel secure.

Amber Ridge are decent and affordable apartments but has a hispanic problem and a parking problem. The picture below is what I find when I go to my car, someone strategically placed nails under my wheel for me to run over. Fortunately, I was able to see this. I am very sure the hispanic people did this as my car was parked between two hispanic peoples vehicle. Regulations are not being enforced fully. My suggestion is to make sure EVERY vehicle is registered to the apartments and have proper decal. Tow at owners expense if they are non compliant. If you enforce the rules, parking will most definitely get better. There are students who have roommates, and then you have hispanic families there who slowly bring in a lot of their family which is a problem and concern, who are these people? Are they here legally? Do the have criminal records? I like my apartment and I like the location. But when my lease is up, it is time to go. Hispanic population take over everywhere they reside and they bring down the quality of the area. I am going to a complex that enforces the rules. Other than someone trying to put a hole in my tire, I like the apartments and the staff are very attentive to my concerns and maintenance issues. I am grateful for that, it is not their fault that some people have zero regard for their neighbors and their property.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Worst apartment complex ever! While very affordable, I didn't have hot water in my shower (sinks were fine), they had to come over three separate times before they finally decided to replace the whole shower. The bugs are HUGE! Not a problem in the winter, but come summer time rack up on bug spray! They give you parking passes to hang in your mirror which is totally pointless when they don't enforce their rules. Most nights I'd be lucky to get a park in front of my building! And the worst part of it all is after finally leaving that hell hole, they still managed a way to screw me over. They charged me for a month AFTER my lease was up and I was moved out. Even though they had a SIGNED letter of my intent not to renew my lease and they had a copy of my lease with the end date and no signature on a new lease. AND prior to moving out I went to the office and asked if there was anything I needed to do to ensure a smooth transition. The fat old white guy who's desk is by the patio, told me to simply return my keys in an envelope with my apartment number on it. I could even simply drop it in their box. Well surprise, surprise! Months later I start receiving calls from bill collectors! When I go to my old account online they had charged for the additional month. At first I called, and they said they'd give me a call back. Never did. Then I went to them in person, they said they would have to contact their corporate office and they would get back to me. Never did. I went up there a second time, this time the person in charge didn't even speak with me but sent the little desk assistant to tell me they'd email their boss and get back to me. Another week has went by! I'm really pissed off because my credit score went from a 740 to a 597!!! I have never paid a bill late!
At this point I will be contacting corporate myself. And if this issue isn't resolved in a more timely manner, I will be seeking legal help.
Don't waste your time/money/credit on this worthless complex.

I lived here from Aug 2014-Aug 2016 while I was in college. Very affordable and overall decent place to live until new management took over about halfway through the two years I stayed there. Dora and her new management team are very rude and unprofessional. They gave me an extremely hard time once I decided that I was not going to stay a third year. They even went as far as charging me for damages in the apartment that were present claiming that they didn't have our "move in inspection". But by this time, two years had gone pass. I say don't even waste your time and money.

If i could give no stars. I would give it.. I just paid my last month's rent. I'm so happy. 1. My rent started at 569. I'm now paying 676.00. Only been here a yr....and a few months. The people in the leasing office are just horrible. They could not keep financial, important, information together. Thats the main reason why I'm leaving. They just now started these thing where you pay online. For the month of february i go to try to pay my rent online. It said i owed 569..... Really i been paying 676. Today I go to pay for March..... It said i owe 809.... Im so . I cant wait to get out of here. GOODBYE AMBERRIDGE.

It's a good place to start out if you're looking for affordable. However, the lack of parking and the age of the structure aren't the best. I was on the Garden level, which I didn't know was the garden level. I heard my upstairs neighbors at all times.
There is a very large camel cricket issue....it was disgusting. Pest control didn't even help.
The walls are so thin I could hear my neighbor open his front door, walk down the hallway to the bathroom-take a pee, flush the toilet then walk to the bedroom. I shouldn't be able to follow sounds that closely.
Parking was a separate issue within itself, there was no place to park when I got home from work most nights. Cars lined the sidewalk covering the "no parking" areas. I was told that I could park in another parking lot and walk to my apartment. Sure, that's a great idea especially when there are domestic fights and drug deals in the parking lot. I was so fortunate to find a parking warning (My first) that was also labeled as a final warning, and that my car would be towed. Sorry for not being able to park at my apartment.
The fitness center was a room of old and rusted equipment. Only 1 machine worked, and the room was filthy.
Not to mention there was a rapid change in company ownership-however, the one person who was most unpleasant to work with stayed. He really made me feel like I wasn't wanted there.
I didn't feel safe there, I felt disgusting there. I'm very glad I moved to my new apartment-I feel much
safer and at home in my new place.
Amber Ridge may work for others, I've even been told how "great" it is. Cheap rent doesn't mean good quality....
