Frankfort is located in an interested part of the state, climate-wise. It mostly has a typical southern climate, with mild winters and sultry summers, but it’s in the northern part of Kentucky and on the border, so occasionally it can have weather patterns that are out of character for the south. For example, there’s never a lot of snow here, but it’s not surprising if there’s an inch or two falls overnight, either. And there can be cold spells where it feels like you’re not in the South at all. Usually, though, the winters are cool and brisk and the summers are hot and steamy.
