I booked an appointment on the website to tour the property today. Understanding that it is the holidays, I double-checked to make sure that the leasing office was open. My boyfriend and I checked their Google hours and their social medias and saw nothing about office closure (so, we did our due diligence). I booked the tour and got a confirmation email. Fast forward to today, we finished up with another apartment tour in the area and headed over to Belvoir Square to see if theyd tour us earlier. When we arrived, we used the call box to call the leasing office and got no response. Fortunately, someone coming out the door let us in. We walked over to the leasing office and saw that the lights were off. There was no signage anywhere by the leasing office either. So, we figured they were touring someone since I did see some blocked off tour times when I was booking. We waited over an hour, thinking that someone would come. During that time, a few other residents came by the leasing office as well. After some time, I started asking other residents if they knew whether the office was open. Some residents said they were open and some said they were closed, so, not even the residents knew. I decided to look on the leasing office door one last time. I read a small flyer next to the door that talked about upcoming resident events, only to find after sifting through all the information on the paper, in SMALL wording on the side, a reminder to residents that the office was closed Thursday through Monday (today). I would not have wasted so much of my time had they been MORE clear to prospective residents such as myself that they were closed. 1) I should not have been able to book an apartment tour AND receive a confirmation email. 2) They should have had some signage on the door that they were closed for the day and NOT on a random flyer on the door mixed in with an abundance of resident info/events. Most places Ive toured have made it CLEAR when they are closed and post signs on their door to prevent confusion and having people waste their time. The fact that barely half the residents knew the leasing office was closed shows that there is poor communication.
