The only thing this apartment building really has going for it is location and convenience. It is extremely expensive for the quality of the building and how it is managed. They clearly put profit over their residents and it leaves almost everyone unhappy at one point. It is very poorly managed and they get away with far more than they should because it is mostly students who don't advocate for themselves. The parking garage door has been broken and left completely unlocked for over a week. The garage has also had numerous security issues with break-ins recently so this is particularly disturbing to me as a resident. The ceiling in the garage has been leaking for the last 8 months as well, with chunks of insulation dropping from the ceiling every other day. It is actually appalling that they allow this to happen. They often leave doors unlocked, and in one case had no door on the back entrance for 3 months and was propped open, allowing anyone who desired to enter the building without permission. The security in general is very concerning to me. They should have a far stronger and more secure security system considering it is a building for young students. The maintenance people come into your room completely without warning. One time they left a trap door in my bathroom open for 2 weeks when I had absolutely no idea they were even doing work in my room. I had to close the door myself. Additionally, whoever was there left black boot marks all over my bath and shower - very unprofessional. The air conditioning is also very weak, or non-functional in every apartment, including the hallways and laundry room. My friend's air conditioning has been broken since september and they have continuously tried to get this fixed by contacting management and filing work orders and the problem has yet to be fixed. I went down to do laundry and the room was at least 90 degrees. There is something wrong with the air conditioning throughout the building which is unacceptable as it is a part of the lease and has been reaching over 100 degrees in Denver. They should buy every resident who asks for one a portable air conditioner. They They need to reevaluate their priorities and remember that there are humans that live there not just tools to pay their bills.

Moving to Denver from the east coast was very stressful. Finding an apartment that was furnished, had amenities and was reasonable on rent was a big deal for me. The staff has been accommodating and so kind every time I needed help or had a problem. I have yet to find a downfall but if I do, I doubt the staff would be unwilling to help. Close to campus, food and shopping, UHouse is perfect for a student, or grad student like me!!

I sublet from DU, but my experience at the apartments was below average. I was never set up with a resident portal despite phone calls and emails to the front desk. Luckily I did not have to pay rent every month, but I could not put in maintenance work orders. In February my apartment flooded, and the walls from my bedroom and living room were ripped out and not fixed for 3 weeks. Other rooms also had flooding issues. The garage doors have been broken more than 4 times, and it often took weeks before they got fixed again. At one point, the elevator was broken for about a week. I would not live here again, and definitely not for the rent charged.
