I lived here for a year. In that time I never missed my rent payment, I never caused the manager any grief, always kept my apartment spotless, and let her use my apartment frequently to show to prospective renters. On the day of my move-out inspection the manager and two of the maintenance crew came in, spent fifteen minutes in the apartment, and declared that the carpet had to be replaced. The manager told me there was a urine stain and asked if I had had pets in the apartment. I told her, no, assuming that since she had been in my apartment multiple times, she would know that there had been no pets, nor evidence of pets, nor paraphenalia of pets. A month after I moved out I got a bill in the mail for the cost of the carpet. I called the manager that day to dispute the charges and she told me she was busy and would call me back. She called me back three months later to tell me that they had moved the oven (when? No idea. I know someone else moved in shortly after I moved out) and found cat toys. I then got a second bill in the mail that I have since disputed. I made multiple calls to her office (she claims to have no record), and to DBC Communities all of which have been ignored.

I have had numerous issues with my tenure here. First, cockroaches. Then, my patio handle broke, twice and currently doesnt latch properly, even though it has been "fixed" by maintenance. Most importantly, my air conditioning/furnace has been inefficiently and ineffectively operating for over a year. My unit is still not running properly and my electric bills have been double and triple what they should be. The management office refuses to address their poor response to my early concerns of my ineffective unit. I now have a window unit that I have had for over a month with no timeline as to when my unit will be operable again. I have reached out to their corporate office with no response. If you choose to rent here be prepared to pay almost $500 a month in electricity if your unit quits operating properly. This is obviously is a company not concerned with the well being of their tenants, but rather only their bottom line.The pool wasn't open the first part of the summer either.

Karen said that dogs were allowed as long as they aren't on the "dangerous breeds" list, which doesn't exist. We told her we are getting a shar pei, which she said she was almost positive it wasn't on the list. Karen said she would let us know if it's on the list, but never did after multiple times inquiring. She pressured us to pay the application fee, administration fee, and security deposit because the apartments were being rented quickly. Once we paid, she said that the breed was on the list, even though she took forever to find the fake list when I asked her for proof. It's a blessing that we didn't rent here, but we were not refunded our application and administration fee. My wife and I were scammed by Karen and Stoneridge.
